Satisfying Eggnog

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2011
Since I love eggnog, I really tried to like this. Even tried waiting the next day to let flavors settle in, but was way too sweet. If you make this, try using less sugar and it might be okay.

Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2011
Unique flavor that's enjoyable. Cake-like takes a little away from it for me, but still an enjoyable cookie. I used small ice-cream scoop and smashed scoops down on cookie tray to reduce puffiness of finished cookie. Don't forget to turn heat down for non-stick pans.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2011
Takes a little time, but very easy, & fantastic flavor/creaminess. As another reviewer suggested, I mixed some of the hot mixture into eggs, then incorporated them back into the hot mixture with no egg problems.

Mashed Potato Layer Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
Edible, but the flavor combination's were weird. Out of 5 in our family, no one liked it. I thought it was tolerable, but I definitely won't make this one again. Sorry, I'm pretty easy to please, but this one is a 'no'.

Paradise Pumpkin Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
Pretty good. When I poured the pumpkin on top it swirled with the cheesecake below for a pleasing effect. The taste was good, but not special.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
Just as it says, "Awesome". Everyone loved it at Thanksgiving. I used fresh Cranberries instead of dried and sprinkled the dried Cranberries on top for added color.

Oyster Souffle

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
This is a must-have at the holidays for my family. My mother always made it - so it's a tradition. I would suggest raising the temp to 350 for 45 min., so you can cook it along with other dishes. I would definitely recommend lightly sprinkling some 'Accent' on each layer of oysters (it especially brings out the flavor of oysters). I've always made it with milk, and be sure to let it set for an hour to absorb the liquid. It doesn't fluff up during baking if you skip this step.

Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
Just like my Grandmom used to make. Family loved them! I used a donut cutter and had at least twice what recipe stated.

Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2010
I can only give it a 1 because I thought it was edible, but nothing special. My family hated it. If you like the old time casseroles that used to be made though, you'll like this.

Kids loved these. Are very adaptable. I used rice cereal instead, no nuts. A very different & pleasing texture.

Pumpkin Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2010
Wonderful, I altered it some from previous reviews, and what I had on hand. Used 1/2c brown sugar & 1/2c applesauce instead of white sugar. Only used 1/4c butter. I used Half'n'Half instead of evaporated milk. Sprinkled cinn & nutmeg on top. I baked at 375, but still had to cook an extra 5 minutes. A previous review commented that it didn't save well, so I told the kids to finish it tonight. I left for a few minutes and when I came back, the bowl was empty. That never happens - unless it's ice cream.
