Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

This sauce is SO good and SO easy to make. I added 4 cloves of fresh, minced garlic to the butter. The sauce didn't "come together" until I started adding the milk. We used this sauce on a homemade chicken, spinach and onion pizza. YUM! Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe.

Bread Machine Calzone

I did not use a bread machine for this recipe. Here is what I did.... I added the yeast and sugar to very warm water to my Kitchen Aid mixer bowl and l let the mixture sit for 10 minutes (until bubbly). Then, I added the flour, salt and milk. I mixed in the mixer for 5 minutes with the dough hook. Then, I covered the bowl and let it sit in a warm spot for 1 hour, punched the dough down, rolled out on a cornmeal covered pan, filled and baked. AWESOME!!! I doubled the recipe, filled 1 with ham and cheese and the other calzone with sauteed onion, garlic, spinach and feta cheese. The dough was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I will definitely be making these again. Super easy, too!! Thank you, Kevin K. for sharing this recipe.

Perfect Pita Chips

These are great chips. A little too thick for us, so here is what I did.... I used the tip of a very sharp knife to poke the pita around the edges. I then peeled the pita into 2 thin rounds. I brushed the insides with oil and seasoned with kosher salt (and whatever seasonings you choose). Then I flipped the rounds over and brushed the outsides. I was able to get 4 rounds (2 whole pita breads) per cookie sheet. I baked at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, turned over and baked for another 7 minutes. I have insulated cookies sheet, so it always takes longer to bake things. I will make these again! Thanks for sharing your recipe.

$2000.00 Pie Crust

I have been searching for the perfect pie crust for years. For me, this is not it. I made this recipe twice and both times, it did not turn out. The first time, I made it with shortening and the crust fell apart as I was putting it in the pie plate. I re-rolled and it happened again. The second time I made it, I used butter. It was a gooey mess. The pie turned out ok, but it is not pretty. What a bummer. I hope others have better luck with this recipe. I will be sticking to my "go-to" no fail Martha Stewart Pate Brisee crust.

Sweet Zucchini Relish

This relish is delicious! I followed the recipe except 1 thing. I didn't have green pepper, so I added hot peppers from my garden. It turned out great! I gave many jars away and got many glowing reviews in return. I will be making more next year for sure. Thank you for sharing this recipe!!

Slider-Style Mini Burgers

I made these for the second time last night. They are delicious!! They are so easy to prepare. The only change I made was to brown and drain the beef and THEN add the onion soup mix. I was afraid that if I added the mix before draining, I would lose a lot of flavor. My 4 boys love when I make these. Definitely a keeper. Thank you for sharing this recipe.

Grandma's Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

These cookies are delicious! I used 1 cup of butter flavored shortening and 1 cup of regular shortening. I didn't have any allspice , so I just doubled the cinnamon and cloves and threw in a little ground ginger too. YUM!! So much flavor. I like the fact that it makes such a large batch because I like to have extra cookie dough in the freezer, so I can whip up cookies for the kiddos after school. I baked half the dough and froze the other half...perfect. This recipe is a keeper!!!! Thank you for sharing it.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

This soup was so good and so easy to make. I changed 2 things from the original recipe. I did not add the ham to the potatoes, onions and celery. After the potaotes were cooked, I put most of them into my blender and gave them a quick couple of pulses. Added the blended potato mixture back into the pot and then added the ham. I also added some cheddar cheese into the soup. DELICIOUS!! I doubled the recipe to feed my large family and a few neighbors too. Everyone loved it.

Italian Potato Salad

This potato salad was delicious. All 4 of my children loved it, hubby too. I did make a few changes. I added more fresh basil-about 1/3 cup total, I also added a couple of chopped jalapenos and 2 TBLS of cider vinegar. If you don't like your food too spicy, remove the seeds from the jalapenos. I will definitely be making this salad again!
