Swirled Peanut Butter Cup Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2012
Made these brownies exactly as the recipe stated with a package of Ghirardelli Chocolate Supreme brownie mix and they were a HUGE hit. Even my health-nut husband ate more of them than I did and requested that I make them again at Thanksgiving for his family. Once again, they were gobbled up before the evening was over. Will make this my default brownie recipe from now on!

Wisconsin Five-Cheese Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2012
I made this exactly as the recipe states with the exception of adding garlic bread crumbs to the top before baking. My husband and I LOVED it. We will certainly be making this again!!

Chicken Gruyere with Sauteed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2011
Made this exactly as the recipe stated except I added just a tad more cheese since my husband wouldn't stop eating it as the chicken was baking. Figured a little more on top would satisfy his new-found love for gruyere cheese. This was the first time I made it, and it certainly will not be the last! Whipped up a side of baked veggies to go with it. Absolutely delicious!

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2011
Made them exactly like the recipe states except I only had sour cream with chives in it. My husband ate the heck out of them. Said they were the best he's ever had! I tasted them before adding the butter at the end and they were delicious, but my mom would be proud of the 2 big tablespoons I dropped in there before turning off the crock pot. I absolutely adored them, and will certainly be making them again! Thank you!

Tiger Butter II

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
I thought this stuff was awesome, but the second batch I made I used creamy peanut butter, and then crushed up just a very few pretzels and tossed them in with the pb and white chocolate mixture before pouring it into the pan. It tastes great either way, but I like a little crunch with my desserts, and the crunchy peanut butter was too much crunch for me.

Grilled Zucchini and Squash

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2010
I have made grilled veggies exactly to this recipe before and they were delicious, but the second time I made them I just sprinkled them with McCormick Grill Mates Roasted Garlic Montreal Chicken seasoning instead of using the seasonings listed, added a splash of butter, and then after I tossed them really well I added a few dashes of grated parmesan cheese. Cooked them on the grill for about 20 minutes and they were spectacular.

Jalapeno Snacks

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
Absolutely DELISH. Since my husband and I can't really do super spicy things, I soaked the sliced and deseeded peppers in a bowl of ice water for a few hours to take out some of the heat. I added a dash of basil to the mixture and it gave it a bit more flavor. Once I take them off the pan I place them between paper towels to soak up some of the excess grease from the bacon. These are a must-have at all of my potlucks at work, and my husband's platoon gatherings once a month. They're usually the first food to vanish!

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2008
I absolutely LOVED the sound of the ingredients in this recipe all thrown together, but I had to make a few modifications to it considering I didn't have everything it asked for. First, instead of 6 tablespoons of mayo I used 5 tablespoons and 1 tablespoon of ranch dressing. Second, I added a little bit more dried onion than called for, but not much more. Third, I didn't have curry powder or dill weed, so I added the parsley and then garlic salt instead of garlic powder. It was SO GOOD. I will definitely keep this one in my trusty recipe box.
