Pot Roast in Beer

The only ingredient I omitted was the celery stalks, because my husband doesn't like them. Inspite of this, though, Christine's recipe still turned out to be fabulously yummy! I don't know if it matters what brand of beer is used, but FYI, I used Bass Ale. I highly recommend this recipe not only because the results turn out to be fantastic, but also because for a novice cook like me, it was quite easy to make! :)

Baked Pork Chops I

I had no milk or white wine when I decided to make this for dinner tonight, so I substituted a little over 1/2 cup of Bass Ale for the white wine. As for the milk, I assumed the purpose was to dilute the condensed mushroom soup a bit, so I merely filled the soup can halfway with water & added it to the mixture. For the baking time, I did 45/40 & the results were absolutely yummy. My husband was impressed with the way the chops were fork-tender. I will definitely be making this again.

Zippy Beef Casserole

I was a little skeptical when I saw that ketchup was one of the ingredients, but I wanted to try something new & I had a pound of ground beef to cook. I was pleasantly surprised by the way this turned out! I didn't think it was too sweet, probably I used a bit less ketchup than what the recipe called for. I also used fresh red onions & Parmesan cheese, since that's what I had on hand. I didn't have bell peppers but next time I think peas would be a good addition.I know I used more than 1 cup of macaroni, but I just eyeballed it so I don't have the exact measurement. I will definitely make this again!

Marinated Flank Steak

I followed this recipe to the letter--my husband & I just loved it! The marinade is extremely easy to prepare & makes the steak super tasty. I don't plan to change a single thing & your recipe will become a staple in our household. Thanks for sharing this!
