Linguine with Peppers and Sausage

Good and easy. A great after working all day and trying to make a quick supper that everyone will love. I had mushrooms that I needed to use and threw them in. Added great flavor. I also added salt and pepper as I add that to everything. It was good. Will make again. However, I woul not make this for company. It is too simple for that.

Black-Eyed Peas 'N' Pasta

Save yourself the 30 minutes of cooking and prep time by making this recipe the easy way. Pour a jar of salsa on top of pasta, then mix in can of beans. It tastes fine, but nothing to write home about.

Poppy Seed Lemon Cake

The cake was good on the first day, but due to the lack of fat in the cake, it became dried out on the second day. Also, it is not super lemon-y in flavor. Although I liked it, I will probably not make it again.

Pecan Cups

This is a recipe my Mom used to make every Christmas so I attempted it myself since I was not going to see her. Everyone loved them and they were all gone in a matter of minutes. I will double the recipe next time and save some for me!

Spaghetti Carbonara II

I loved this recipe and couldn't stop eating it. It makes A LOT of food so I will probably cut it in half the next time. I did have a problem with the eggs cooking into scambled strands, but I also did not have a pan big enough to hold all of that pasta so I had problems tossing. I will try the method of cheese and eggs togther based upon another review. But even with me messing it up, it was still really, really good.

Pear Honey

Pear Honey is delicious, but I will never make it again. After reading the reviews, I was very nervous about burning it because I only had enough pears to make one batch. I cooked it on low and it took 6 hours to get to the consistency of runny honey. I did not have any more time to babysit this and then, on top of it all, it only made four 8 oz jars! With all of the prep time, cooking time and clean up time, this was not worth the effort.

Easy Broccoli Quiche

This was bland. I did not have a problem with wetness like other reviewers, but I followed the reciped exactly as written.I will probably add something like Mrs. Dash the next time just to give it more "zing" or change cheese to a pepper jack. Lastly, it took my quiche about 45-50 minutes to finish baking.

The Old Boy's Strawberry Pie

I have made this recipe several times and now that we have fresh Oregon strawberries, I am making it again. I have made it exactly to the recipe each time and it comes out perfectly, so I am not sure what the other comments are about. My only problem is that I cannot stop eating this pie. It is so tasty.

Gravy Baked Pork Chops

Wow, this was good and super simple. I did modify a little since I only had Campbell's Golden Mushroom soup in the pantry. I used 2 cans golden mushroom and added 1 cup milk, 8 oz sauteed cremini mushrooms and 1/2 large onion. The gravy was a little watery, but delicious. It was so simple to make and so good! I usually do not like condensed soup recipes, but this was awesome. Baked the same way. I served with gravy over baked potatoes.

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake I

This cheesecake is not very pretty. The top is very plastic looking and I had to run out to the store to buy some whipping cream to make it look more appetizing. I guess sweetened condensed milk does not belong in cheesecake in my purist opinion. It tasted fine, but it is not the best cheesecake I have had. Another review compared it to Cheesecake Factory which is not totally accurate. It is very easy to make.
