Buckeye Balls II

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2012
I've made this recipe several times and they taste delicious! A few tips that I have found that make it easier are; insert the toothpicks before placing in the freezer. If you leave them in the freezer longer than 30 minutes the toothpicks DO NOT go in, resulting in broken toothpicks and frustration :) Also there is absolutely no need to mix ingredients with your hands. Although it may work for some, I'm all about clean and quick. I use the small pampered chef scoop, which gives you the perfect bite sized buckeyes!

Hard Candy

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
This candy never got hard for me. I obviously did something wrong since everyone else gave it a good rating. I wish it worked, but I probably wont be trying this again any time soon.

Prairie Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
Great recipe! I cut this in half since it did call for 4lbs of beef....thats alota beef! 2lbs was perfect for my family of 5 (3 kids). As others suggested, I did cut back the amount of cheese and oats and added 1/4 cup of bread crumbs. Also added a glaze of ketchup, vinegar, mustart and brown sugar! And topped it all off with 4 slices of bacon. Yummy!

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
This was a great tasting soup!! I didn't have chicken broth so I just used 12 cups of water and 12 bouilion cubes. I ended up adding about 2 more cups of water since 1 teaspoon of poultry seasoning made the soup too salty.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
Mmmm,Mmmm Good! My 3 children even all eat this soup. A few changes that I made were: 1) I first sauteed 1/2 cup each of celery, onion carrots and 1-2 garlic cloves. 2) I increased the broth to 5 cups and increased the water to 3 cups. 3)Instead of 2 cups heavy cream I used to cups 2% milk. 4)Reduced the flour to 1/2 cup. Without the increase in liquid, I felt the soup was just too pasty and thick. Very Good!!!

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
This is a really great tasting recipe! And really easy to make, especially only using one pan! I omitted the white wine only because I never have it on hand and replaced it with more beef broth. All 3 of my young children loves this recipe!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
This is the first Spaghetti Sauce that I ever attempted! I was a little hesitant at first but the results were yummy! I've made this recipe several times and its soooooo much better than jar sauce, but yet soooooo easy to make! The only changes that I made were: I chopped the whole tomatoes first and then added 1 28 oz. can of tomatoe sauce. Without the added sauce it was just too thick. It makes so much that I always have leftovers to freeze! So when you make this recipe, you are actually making at least 2 meals!

Peanut Butter Pie 2000

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
I have made this pie several times throughout the year...it is excellent!!! A few changes that I made were: I used an Oreo crust instead of the Graham Cracker crust. I decreased the milk from 1/2 cup to 1/4 cup, and I omitted the chopped walnuts. All 3 of my kids including my 4 year old fight over this pie!
