Best Marinara Sauce Yet

This sauce was good, but I felt it needed a little sugar, which I added. I used crushed tomatoes instead of stewed tomatoes as that is what I had. Next time I will try it with stewed tomatoes. This is a keeper recipe that I will use again.

The Best Parmesan Chicken Bake

Made this as written and my family loved it. I used the recipe on this site for Best Marinara Sauce Yet. Next time I will probably use more sauce. I served it over thin spaghetti and my husband likes alot of sauce.

Cowboy Cookies III

These were really good. They were soft and chewy, if you do not overbake them like I did on the first sheet. I did double up the chocolate chips and cut down a little on both of the sugars. Will definitely make these again.

Sweet Corn Bread

Wow! This is the best corn bread I have ever eaten. So tender and moist on the inside and has kind of crispyness on the outside. We could not stop eating them. I made just as written with the exception that I baked them in well greased muffin pan for 15 minutes. Batter was very thick, but DON'T add more milk like others have said they did. My search for corn bread recipes is over. This is it! Thank you for sharing your recipe with us!!

Chicken Stir-Fry

I made the marinade for the chicken according to recipe. Instead of the vegetables called for, I used a bag of frozen stir fry vegetables because that is what I had on hand. I cooked it as directed. The chicken was tender and the sauce was very flavorful. We loved it and this will be my new chicken stir-fry recipe. Thank you.

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread II

I am only giving this recipe 4 stars because I do not use shortening and used butter instead. Change this to butter and it is a 5 star. Very moist and delicious. I have never really enjoyed banana bread before but this recipe has changed my mind. This is a great recipe to use when you have overripe bananas to use up.

Golden Sweet Cornbread

These were great. Only change I made was to cut down on the sugar (I used only 1/2 cup). Perfect! Also, made in muffin pan. I did not find them crumbly at all like some stated. I served these with a pot of chili. Will made these again for sure.

Favorite Banana Blueberry Quick Bread

This was so good. Very moist and tasty. I made these into muffins. I got 14 muffins and I baked them for about 18-19 minutes. I sprinkled each muffin with cinnamon/sugar mixture before baking - not because they needed it, but because I love it. I also used oil instead of shortening because I do not use it. Great recipe - thanks!

Hot Tamale Pie

Loved it! This was so good my husband and I could not stop eating it. I do not buy corn bread mix so I made some from scratch. Used green peppers in place of poblano peppers. Will definitely be making again and again.

Mushroom Pork Chops

This was really good. The chops were tasty and tender. I made according to recipe with the exception I did not add the soup. We are trying to watch our weight and decided after starting to cook this that I would try it without the soup. The juices from the pork chops and mushrooms made a delicious broth. I know it would be great with the soup too.

Mexican Rice II

This just might be my new recipe for mexican rice. It has a fantastic flavor. I made it exactly as written, except I added a little bit of chopped green pepper. I think maybe that 2 cups of chicken broth is a little too much as my rice was a little softer than I prefer. But, that is just my preference. Will definitely make again using a little less broth. Thanks for the great recipe!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

I made this almost as written except I used leftover roasted chicken I made using another recipe on this site for roast sticky chicken-rotisserie style and also used the broth that I got from that. I am sure making it according to the recipe would have been good also, but I think because of the all the seasoning used in the roast chicken made it even better. I also only put pie crust on the top not on the bottom. Just a personal preference of mine. Thank you for the recipe, this will be made again and again. My family loved it.

Delicious! Made according to recipe except I made mine bigger so I only got 24. Also, for the filling I used 8 oz cream cheese and 2 oz butter but everything else the same.
