Chef John's Macaroni and Cheese

Well, the sauce was so bad that I started again... without the nutmeg, worcestershire sauce, mustard, or thyme. Minus all that and it was delicious. And I made my own bread crumbs by drying some bread in the oven and chopping it in a food processor. Oh, that was a bit too much salt too. I don't like my food bland... promise. I'm usually quite adventurous... but that spice blend tasted akin to dirt. I did like paprika in it too.

Very good. Not much different than banana bread though! As muffins it made about a bakers dozen and was just done at 25minutes.

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Super rich. Probably would have been great spread thinly on a carrot cake but was way to rich (not light and sweet like I was hoping) to put on cupcakes. It tasted like butter too much. Had to add extra sugar and still wasn't right :(

Best Brownies

Incredible! I didn't do the frosting and made it in a muffin tin and added crushed candy canes to the top for the last 5 or so minutes of baking. So good!

Butter Flaky Pie Crust

Skillet Pizza

I've been making tortilla pizzas like this for forever. Any ingredients you want, just like normal pizzas. For no oil put the tortilla in the oven and broil it on one side. Then take out, flip over, add toppings and put under the broiler again until cheese is melted or brown, your preference. :)

Tiger Cookies

I'm gonna do a big no-no and rate it after I changed the recipe. I used corn flakes instead of the sugar frosted cereal and m&ms and just stirred them in instead of melting chocolate. SUPER good! Good enough that you can change them up and they're still good! :) Sorry for peeving people. Change isn't always bad.

Not Your Average Grilled Chicken

5 stars for the concept. We don't like the dill weed and sour cream... so we spice it differently. And it takes about an hour and a half to do a 5 lb chicken. Then we have leftovers. Yum!

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

Very good! A little too greasy to me and I will definitely find a way to cook it w/less grease next time but my husband loved it as is. A tip for the spinach. Since I knew there would be lots of leftovers and didn't want limp spinach in the leftovers I just put a handful of spinach in each bowl and topped it with the soup and broth. A few minutes later I stirred the soup and it was perfect. Topped with Parmesan cheese.

Broccoli Cheese Soup V

Used fresh broccoli and less broth and 1 lb of cheddar cheese, no velveeta. The trick is to add the cheese to the milk mixture after it is thick and melt it there. Then it will not get stringy like if you try to melt it directly in the soup. Very good and definitely a keeper. My 1 1/2 yr old who hates broccoli ate it up and complimented it highly. MMMMM!!!

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

Oh my gosh! So good! I am so happy with this... 'cept it's not gonna be so good for my figure to eat the incredible amount of it that I want to! I had no cornmeal so let it rise on the greased cookie sheet. Next time I'm trying the pan of ice cubes thing and see what it does though this was incredible!
