Fried Cabbage II

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2011
This was exactly what I was looking for when I wanted Fried Cabbage w/the corned beef I made. It was even better the next day, the flavors melded and I added some sliced pastrami that I had on hand. Amazingly good lunch, I re-heated it in a skillet after getting a bit of crip to the pastrami, delish. Now I am wanting to make it this week!

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
have this sitting in my fridge right now and I cannot wait to try it again. I have a revised version on Christmas morning that was delicious and I asked for the recipe only to get she found it on here. So off I went to search for a recipe and came across this. I know this is a premature review but by the looks of what is in my fridge right now we will LOVE it! I took other reviewers advice and used 8 eggs, more milk and seasoned croutons. I came together in minutes. Thank you for such a simple recipe!

Sausage Cabbage Skillet

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
Very good! I tweaked it a little, I wasn't in the mood for kielbasa so I used Chicken Apple Sausage, I also couldn't find single red potatoes at my local grocery store so I didn't add any. I also added red wine vinegar in the end. I will add apple chunks and smoked bacon pieces next time I make it.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
My house smells so yummy right now!!!! They are delish, I added chocolate chunks (because my 4 year old asked very sweetly). I took the advice of some of the others and added the topping in the last 5 minutes. Just one question, how to keep the topping from going all over the pan? I will most definately making these again! Thank you for a wonderful recipe Lisa!

Creamy Pea Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2010
Wonderful on a cold blustery night. Its comfort food at its best. I know its good when my daughter wants it in her lunch for shcool the next day. However d onot make the mistake of using low fat/fat free cream cheese, it changes the taste for the worse. Also make sure and use quality ham hocks, I have used pre-packaged and i tturned out bland. I do try and always make it a day ahead to let the flavors marry, it is even better a day or two after the cook day.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2008
Scrumptious! I had ground turkey for dinner and I was getting tired of the same old stuff. Hubby suggested burgers, so off to Allrecipes I went. I had to make a couple of changes due to what was in my pantry. I used Italian Seasoning with the bread crumbs because I didn't have seasoned bread crumbs, and I exchanged green onions for white (I hate onions except for green). I melted cheese over the top and oh were they delicious! I can't wait till my hubby comes home to try them!

Taste delicious. Mine flattened out really badly but most likely its something that I did. I'll try the recipe again in the near future.

Mexican Corn on the Cob (Elote)

Reviewed: May 11, 2013
I now have to try this with lime!! I have been making it a lot recently, it becomes one of those recipes you crave for no reason. The reason for only 3 stars is that your supposed to use Mexican La Crema, mayo is not the authentic way, and Tapatio hot sauce. Quick tip.. if pressed for time, make a "salad" with frozen corn and it is just as good.

Pecan Turtle Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2013
Did as many here suggested and doubled the flour mixture and they came out great! I also did the Sweetened Condensed Milk caramel (a can of SCM in its can (with label off),covered in water and cooked in a crockpot for 8 hours)thinned out with some milk and it worked beautifully, though I may do 2 cans next time. These are super rich so a small bar suffices :)
