Hearty Lasagna Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
I have been making this soup for years. It is a classic that uses staples around the house. I like to add string beans or zuchinni for some extra greens. Farfalle noodles I think work the best.

Stuffed Zucchini

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2013
So delicious...like a restaurant quality meal! Only modification I made was to lightly saute onions and zucchini "guts" with the garlic and the ground sausage before stuffing. I also cut back on the amount of bread crumbs. Great with a side of rice!

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
This was a great recipe. The first time I made it I added too much worcester sauce, so it tasted a little funky. The second time I used just a dash. One time I made this, I adjusted it to 36 servings to feed an entire high school basketball team! The adjustment tool is great. I substituted a good portion of the ketchup with tomato soup. It got great reviews!

Spinach Bacon Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2012
Be sure to drain spinach well so it is not too runny. Took the advice to reduce amount of milk added.

Ham and Potatoes Au Gratin

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
I sliced the potatoes with a slicer. It was tasty, I just thought it was a little rich for a main dish.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2011
So good..even to my picky 4 and 2 year olds. They even helped to make...applesauce instead of oil, increased to 1 C of pumpkin, used mini chips and pumkin spice instead of nutmeg and cloves. Made mini muffins cooked at 275 for only about 10 minutes. Great adaptation suggestions from others!

Oatmeal and Applesauce Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2011
I was excited to find a "heathly" pancake, but my 4 yr old and hubby were not fans of them at all. I thought they tasted fine and my 2 yr old was fine with them...I did food process the oatmeal to make a smoother texture. I would omit the cinnamon next time.

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
LOVED how quick, easy and cheap this is. It also makes a bigger batch than I was anticipating. I easily made it into two pizzas. I like the crust crispier so I precooked just the crust for about 8 minutes before adding toppings.

Easy Honey Mustard Mozzarella Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2014
I would have given it a 4 star, but since my husband was over the moon about it, I gave it a 5! I also wrapped the bacon around the breasts, but found it wasn't crispy enough, so I ended up drying out my chicken. Even though it's an extra step, next time I'll cook the bacon separately.

Creamy Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: May 28, 2014
It was definitely very quick..but at the expense of some flavor. Next time, I'll saute the onion and maybe some carrots in butter first. It was still tasty, but maybe adding the powdered mustard as someone recommended, or some nutmeg, to give it another zip!

Excellent! I used a little bit less butter and only lightly sprinkled the apples with sugar. So easy and tasty with a side of ice cream!

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2013
I was expecting it to be a lot lighter and fluffier! It doesn't spread too nicely...if you don't have a piping tool. It tasted good on chocolate cake. I followed the video instructions exactly.

Loaded Mashed Potato Cakes

Reviewed: May 2, 2013
Make sure the patties are squashed down in pan enough...if they are too thick, it makes for a strange texture. Used cheddar cheese. Great way to use leftovers in a different way.

Chocolate Zucchini Bread I

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2013
Upon reading other reviews...I used half oil and half applesauce, cut down sugar slightly, used half whole wheat flour, increased the amount of zucchini slightly and used mini choco-chips. Used mini loaf pans, so the baking tie was decreased. All three kiddos under the age 7 loved it and the hubby loved it too! A "dessert" I feel better about serving!

Baked Parmesan Tilapia

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2013
Maybe it's just me, but this was super messy to prepare! Next time I won't use the plastic bag. It's not necessary to entirely coat the fish. The flavor was really good and my 3 and 4 year old boys surprisingly gobbled it down!
