Spicy Italian Sausage and Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2014
This is absolutely WONDERFUL! The red wine is a delicious touch! I tried to follow this to a T (Besides adding chopped portabella mushrooms) but I forgot until after I had already canned it all that I had left out the spinach and the celery, which.. I did buy, just didn't use. I'll bring spinach tonight in a bag and mix it into the can. Is it weird that I am already looking forward to my 0200 lunch break and it's only 1630 now? :-D

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2014
Ok... I followed it to the T except I had to use all marsala instead of sherry, because I thought I could find sherry at the grocery store and didn't want to go back to the package store where I got the marsala when I couldn't find the sherry... Sheer laziness, I know. Still delicious. The sauce was kind of blah after the chicken was cooked. Good, but... it could be better, so I chopped up a bell pepper and a small onion and threw it in along with some heavy whipping cream and OMG... It was so amazing. I am eating leftovers for breakfast... That good. I have absolutely no italian in me, so... sorry if this addendum to the recipe offends the sensibilities of true italian cookers, but it was so yummy. :)

Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2008
I was honestly kind of disappointed. I was expecting them to turn out a LOT better because of the reviews. The first batch, I cooked for 10 minutes at the suggested temp, and they were SOOO gooey and uncooked in the center. I ended up having to cook them at 20 minutes at 300 instead. They turned out ok, but that's just it... I've had much better home-made cookies. These seem to be a bit crumbly and so-so.

Great recipe! My husband ate them too, and has a hard time eating vegetables. This is a great twist on fries!

Slow Cooker Barbeque

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
Lol... my mom has been making this for YEARS before allrecipes.com came around. It is a very basic crock-pot recipe but also VERY wonderful. I've made this for people who were totally floored by it and asked with wonder "How do you make this?". Lucky for us all, it's really REALLY easy! This is DEFINITELY a wonderful staple to add to you cooking repertoire if it isn't there already. You will love it! Don't be afraid to tweak it either... maybe add some fresh chopped onion, or green peppers depending on your mood. Thanks for sharing!

Dee's Roast Pork for Tacos

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
This was totally and COMPLETELY amazing. I also used the crock-pot because my hubby doesn't like aluminum foil on his food. It turned out GREAT. I never would have imagined pork tacos to be so yummy.. and easy! We eat this nearly every week... we should probably quit before we wear ourselves out of it. Try this and you won't regret it!

Mexican Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
My Husband and I loved this. When I made it, he said "Did you cook this?" When I confirmed he said "We're never eating out again!" :-D Lol. I really liked it, but next time I will be more creative... maybe add a layer of spicy re-fried beans or olives. This is also a great freezer recipe for a small family. I made it and split it into two 10x10s, we ate one and froze the other to save it for later. Thanks for sharing!
