No Bake Peanut Butter Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
Very good treats. Took them to work and they were gone in a flash. Simple to make, and i found that using my hands to mix was easier than a spoon.

Fantastic Focaccia Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
YUM! This was my first attempt at bread and it won't be my last. Made it as written (used the quick rise yeast), topped with italian seasoning, oregano, and parsley before baking. Will add garlic next time. It did seem to have a bit too much of a flour taste, but I'm thinking that's because i used to much in the kneading process. Hopefully, a lesson learned.

Cheddar Cheese Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
i halved the recipe, cooked in a smaller pan, and it turned out good. the cake was moist and baked beautifully; however, i didn't care for the cheddar chunks in it. if i were to make this again, considering i usually have all the ingredients on hand (waste of money?),i would omit the cheese.

this was delicious. added a little butter to pan with the olive oil, but still had some sticking. that was the only thing i changed. great hearty, comfort meal! i didn't think it was too rich at all.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
this was decent for my first attempt at alfredo sauce. i used fresh garlic. too much garlic, actually! so that was over powering. also, my sauce never really got thick. i will try this recipe again!

Cheesy Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2008
Four stars because I modified it a bit to make it more to my taste (thanks to the reviews). Doubled the mayo, omitted the sugar, used more cheese and green onions, added salt and pepper, and used a whole package of bacon that I fried and crumbled. Turned out so good! Tastes like it's from a local deli. I did mix bacon, onion, and cheese in the salad and saved some to put on top as well for presentation. Simple recipe that's wonderful for me now.

Spinach and Feta Pita Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2008
These were very good.Used basil pesto and no sundried tomatoes, but were still good. Loaded with toppings which didn't make for finger food (had to use fork and knife). I did only make two for myself, so that's why I was generous with the ingredients.

Chicken Scampi II

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2008
Oh my gosh, SO GOOD! I was practically slirping this in my mouth (served over spaghetti). My b/f said "it sounds good" lol. He hadn't fixed his plate yet. I doubled the spices, garlic, lemon juice, and added white wine(1/4c.) and mushrooms.Topped with diced tomatos and parm. cheese. Was full of flavor. Thanks for such a great, easy recipe!

Cowboy Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2008
mmmmm, these turned out great! made as written except added one tsp. vanilla. made about 5 1/2 dozen cookies, so i'm trying the frozen method as someone has mentioned - freezing them on a cookie sheet and putting in a freezer bag. when it comes time to cook, just cook a little longer.

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2008
I thought this recipe was great, not to mention very easy! Pretty much made as written, except I used a smaller dish, covered with foil until the flip, and saved a little of the sauce for dipping. I only had 4 breast, so this may be why I had enough sauce left over. I would make a bit more of the sauce for next time to have plenty for dipping. Served with mashed potatoes and vegies. Can't wait to try it over a salad!
