Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2008
We are keeping this one! Loved them! I cut the flour down to 4 cups per others reviews and they turned out great! I did half w/ salt and the other half i brushed w/ butter and put cinnamon sugar on them...YUMMY! Next time I will not coat all of them as they were a bit soggy today but still tasty! My husband who is not a big pretzel fan LOVED them. Thanks!!

Spicy Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2008
I just made this for dinner. I was told by my 6yr old "your the best chicken stick maker". I took 4 skinless chicken breasts and cut into strips for skewers. followed the recipe minus the red pepper as I was out instead added some jerk seasoning to the mix. Before pouring on the chicken I added a rub of salt, pepper, garlic and season salt to the chicken then poured the mix over the chicken and let marinate about 5 hours. Before grilling i did add more jerk seasoning on about half the skewers my husband and I love the kick! Chicken was moist and juicy...Served w/ white rice and mixed veggies...will keep this one!!

WOW!! Loved it!! The batter for the chicken was perfect, I too used my deep frier and it turned out well! I did not have chili paste but used chili powder...next time will add a bit more for more kick! Followed receipe as directed did not find sauce too sweet from the 1 cup of sugar...my kids ate it up!! Served over white rice and broccoli on the side.

Tender Breaded Turkey Cutlets

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
This was a great recipe! My kids loved it and asked for more. You will need more oil then it calls for, and in the sour cream I added a little ranch dressing, salt, pepper and garlic! We will make this again!

Shredded Chicken Tacos

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2011
DELISH!! Was looking for something different to do with chicken that my kids would eat after reading reviews and making sure I had all the ingredients I threw this together. So easy!! I of course did not have the "goya" brand or the adobo but I dont think that mattered much. My kids *9,4 and 16mths* loved them! They tasted even better today for lunch and I am not a fan of leftovers! This is a keeper for sure!

Grandma's Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2009
This bread is AWESOME!! My kids (7 & 3) made this yesterday. Used the 9 x 13 pan as suggested and 1/2 of it gone already! I only made 1/2 the batter and did not have buttermilk but substituted 1cup milk and 1tbs vinegar (stirred and let sit for 10min) then used what was needed for the recipe. So moist and full of banana flavor!! This is a keeper!! Thanks

WOW! This is a great recipe! I just took the cake out of the oven and my little helpers (2 & 6) think it is yummy! We havent even frosted it yet! We made the yellow recipe and the cake rose great...nice golden brown only baked for 25 min just right. After I let it cool a quick minute we cut into it and it was moist and very tasty! NO CORNBREAD HERE!!!

Millie Pasquinelli's Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2008
I made this the other night for dinner. Good recipe. To the eggs I added some hot sauce (we like a little kick) also to the chicken before breading I added a rub of salt, pepper, garlic, and seasoning salt. I also flavored the flour with the same. I dipped the chicken in the flour then the egg then the flour again once all pieces were covered I let sit in fridge for about an hour..then deep fried at 375 YUMMY! Outside was nice and crisp and the inside juicy and moist. Had only 1 piece leftover...which was fed to my 6yr old the next night and the chicken was still moist and the outside still cripsy! Next time I will let the chicken sit in the hot sauce a bit longer...other then that GREAT!!! Will be making this again!

Sweet and Sour Drumettes

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
This sauce was wonderful! I did not bread or fry the chicken as the recipe states instead i baked them skin on and used the sauce as a glaze. I doubled the sauce. I did marinate for about an hour like someone else with half the sauce. The other half I placed in a pot and cooked on the stove adding corn starch to thicken which made the chicken sticky and just yummy! I have also used the sauce on cubed chicken breast which i did coat in flour and fry..yummy over rice... Thanks!!

Caramelized Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2011
these were really good after reading reviews I started them on the stove and then transferred them to a wire rake on a cookie sheet to get "cripsy" put the oven to 450 and continued to baste them while they cooked. I also added cornstarch to the sauce before hand to thicken it up a bit and I did not use all the sugar suggested. Seemed a bit much. Although the flavor was good I think it would be best on a meatier piece of chicken-thigh, breast, leg. I am doing legs tonight and going to use this sauce my kids loved the wings so Im sure they will love the legs!

Cake Balls

made these today with red velvet and cream cheese icing...so far so good! I allowed the cake to cool completely and then added icing. They stayed together pretty well. I put them in the freezer to harden before dipping in chocolate.

Creamy Beef Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
I am actually making this for dinner tonight for the first time. I just made a few changes...to the ground beef and onion I added garlic powder, salt, pepper and some worcesterhire sauce and browned meat until no longer pink. Instead of corn I used Steam Fresh mixed veggies to add some color also added a bit more garlic in the mixture along w/ some more pepper plus French's onions on top instead of bread crumb. I taste as I go so far so good...just need to throw it in the oven.
