Lemony Cucumbers

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2010
We didn't like this at all. It's a LOT OF celery seed. Sorry, but I don't think I will make this again.

Garbanzo Bean Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2010
This is a great recipe but it could be even better with the addition of some spices and onion. I also added 1 egg and some bread crumbs. I will definitely make this again, but I will try adding more flavors.

Oven Roasted Red Potatoes and Asparagus

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2010
This dish turned out so great! I made it with regular baking potatoes because that's what I had, I added fresh rosemary instead of dried. Also, I baked it uncovered just because I prefer my roasted potatoes nice and crispy. Served with grilled salmon.

Pat's Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2010
Great recipe! I omitted the bacon because I wanted this to be vegetarian and just as suggested by another reviewer, I sautéed the onions and garlic and added with all the ingredients in the crockpot.

Three Cheese Baked Ziti

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2010
This is a good basic recipe but it needs a whole lot more flavor. First of all you really need to double or triple (depending on your preference) the amount of tomato sauce, I used my own homemade sauce. I also recommend some fresh basil and extra fresh grated Parmesan cheese. I made this dish with whole-wheat penne instead of rotini. Baked covered for 20 minutes and uncovered for an additional 10 minutes.

Scarlett's Chicken Cacciatore

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2010
This is one of those recipes I didn't have much time to dedicate myself into and it turned out so delicious! First, I browned the chicken in a pan with lots of onions, garlic and green pepper. Once ready, I transferred to the crockpot with the remaining ingredients and cooked on low for probably 4 hours. I didn't have any mushrooms, I didn't cube the chicken and at the end I forgot to add Parmesan, but even then was very flavorful. Next time I will make sure to have everything. Served over whole wheat egg noodles with steamed broccoli and cauliflower.

Butter Chickpea Curry

My husband really enjoyed this dish, but for some reason I didn't like much. I made it exactly as is, I guess it just wasn't for me.

OMG, this smoothie was so good! Very nice combination of fruits. I used organic fat free plain yogurt instead of vanilla flavor, just a preference. Thanks Diane!

Fantastic! I think this was the easiest dessert I have ever made and it was delicious! I followed the recipe exactly as is, but next time I would love to make my own pie crust.

Grilled Salmon with Citrus Salsa and Baby Greens

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
This salad was fantastic! I have to say I was skeptical at first with the orange salsa, but it was so light and it complemented so well the salmon and the salad. I didn't have any fennel, but didn't change anything on this recipe.

Swedish Cream with Summer Berries

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2010
This was a very refreshing and simple dessert. As suggested by another reviewer, I served it cold and didn't cook the cream, I just layered with the strawberries and grated some chocolate on the top, which is a really nice complement to this dessert.

This salad was absolutely delicious! I marinated the chicken for 2 hours and we grilled everything, just a preference. I heated the marinade and served over the salad. I will definitely make this again!

Amish Slaw

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2010
This coleslaw was exactly what I was looking for, a vinegar/oil version other than the mayo type. It came out delicious, just like the one I usually buy at Wholefoods. I halved the amount of sugar and used olive oil instead of vegetable oil.

Fiery Fish Tacos with Crunchy Corn Salsa

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
These tacos were great! I used mahi-mahi instead of tilapia because I like mahi better. I couldn't find jicama at our grocery store, so I added a couple of jalapenos instead. Also, I served with flour tortillas and guacamole on the side. This is a keeper!

Fajita Marinade I

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
This is a great marinade. As suggested, I added some cilantro and it turned out really good. I only marinaded for about 1 1/2 hours and it had enough flavor. I woldn't marinade this overnight because I think the lime could cook cook the chicken. Served with homemade guacamole and grilled veggies. UPDATE: I made this again and let it marinate for 4 hours, it was even better.
