Pawpaw (Papaya) And Mango Punch

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
This is absolutely delicious! Great combination of fruits, very tropical. I increased the amount of fruit, used frozen mango, and only used 1/3 cup of water just because I prefer thick smoothies. No need to add any sugar. Thanks for the recipe!

Wild Strawberry Treat

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
I made a few changes to this and it turned out really good. Organic fat free plain yogurt, 1/2 scoop of protein supplement strawberry flavor insteat of the flavored milk powder, and added some nutty nugget cereal since I served for breakfast. I will definetely make this again!

Garden Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
This is a great pasta salad, but too much salad dressing for my taste. I didn't measure, but probably used only 1/3 cup of dressing, I omitted the tomatoes and added some corn.

Flan de Coco (Coconut Flan)

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
Outstanding!!! This was my first time making flan and this recipe was excellent. I only used 5 eggs and omitted the sugar in the condensed milk mixture. I also added a teaspoon of coconut flavoring.

Berry Good Smoothie II

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
Good smoothie! I added 1/2 scoop of protein supplement. I think that it needed a little of soy milk to get to the right consistency.

Kay's Spaghetti and Lasagna Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
Good and simple recipe. I made this dish for my husband and kids and they enjoyed it. I omitted the green pepper because I didn't have any and added some fresh basil. Served over whole wheat spaghetti.

Nice combination of fruits. I omitted the honey and added 1/2 scoop of protein supplement strawberry flavor. I also used orange juice instead of promegranate juice because I didn't have any. Thanks Michalynn!

Roasted Chickpeas

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
Great taste and excellent source of protein! Just like other reviewers, I roasted first and then added the oil and seasonings. I used only 1/2 Tbsp of olive oil and it was way too much, next time I will use only a little olive oil spray instead.

Firecracker Grilled Alaska Salmon

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
Excellent recipe! I omitted the red pepper because of the kids and I really don't recommend adding any salt since you are already using a lot of soy sauce.

Mandarin Orange, Gorgonzola and Almond Delight

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
Good salad but I think the dressing was a little bland. I used pecans instead of almonds because that's what I had on hand.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2009
Good, but I confess I had higher expectations based on the reviews. Just and advice if you want to make this healthier, make sure you use an organic reduced fat ranch dressing this way you also avoid high fructose corn syrup.

Caipirinha

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2009
This is my favorite drink too, but I made a little different: I doubled the amount of lime and sugar, mash them together in a glass and it's very important to peel the limes otherwise it will taste too strong. Then add the ice and I used vodka instead of cachaca, just a preference.

Garlic Teriyaki Edamame

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2009
I love edamame and this recipe was a nice change for the same way I always make. Instead of terriyake sauce I used reduced sodium soy sauce and halved the amount to cut even more sodium. I also used Splenda instead of brown sugar and once it was ready I realized I was out of sesame seeds. This can be a healthy recipe if you are careful with the amount of sodium. Also great source of protein.

Sweet and Sour Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
This salad was absolutely delicious! But I had to make some changes to make it lower in fat and sugar: I used Splenda instead of sugar, omitted the ramen noodles and butter. I toasted the walnuts in the microwave by itself for a couple of minutes, then added a little cooking spray and sprinkled some Splenda on it, and let it cool it down before adding to the salad. The green onions really gives a nice flavor to this salad. Thanks!
