We are back home! After 3 weeks visiting my family in Brazil, we just came back yesterday. It was very nice to spend time with my entire family but I’m so happy to be back home. It’s such a long flight, 7 ½ hours, the kids are well rested because they were able to sleep all night in the plane, but I’m still recovering.
I wasn’t cooking at all down in Brazil, I was just enjoying my Mom’s food and my favorite restaurants. Now that I’m back, I’m ready to start cooking on my own and checking some new recipes at AR.

Fit& HealthyMom...you lucky, lucky woman. My dream, to visit Brazil. I have some wonderful friends there. Take a look at my profile to see one of my most humiliating cooking experiences involving a Brazilian dish.

Patricia, your cooking tragedy is quite funny, but you meant well. It was nice of them to cook for you next. Thanks for stoping by!

Welcome back! It is nice to take a break from cooking once in a while and have someone else cook. Even us die-hard cooks! I've missed seeing your pictures of smoothies and other healthy foods. Glad you had a good vacation!

Welcome back, Rose! I want to visit Brazil too. I have never been there. My dream is Rio de Janeiro.

Off Topic: You made the smooth and creamy peanut butter pie and your review mentioned it never got firm, what happened? I made this several times, one of my fav's so I was just curious. I am going to make it again tonight. Also, welcome back, you have inspired me to make a lot of smoothies now that I always see your photos of them, thanks!!!! ;)

Hi MySweetCreations! On the smooth and creamy peanut butter pie, I'm not sure what happened. I followed the recipe exactly how it is, but it did not turn out well. The concistency was not what I expected but it tasted ok to me, nothing amazing but good. Oh also, I made the coconut poke cake when I saw your picture and this cake was excellent. Thanks for stoping by!

The peanut butter pie is very rich and thick, I made it yesterday. I am glad you liked the coconut poke cake, I thought is was delicious too. Well, I make smoothies most days because I see your photos of them. I am really enjoying them now. I think it took some time to find the right recipe/mixture. I make my smoothies with fruit, vanilla yogurt, and juice. I try to use all organic ingredients. What kind is your favorite smoothie? You should write a blog about smoothies!

I will write a bog about it soon. I've been just so busy lately.

I know you blogged about this awhile back but where in Brazil are you from? My husband is from Ipanema. We go down quite often. I am also from South Florida and my parent's still live there.

About Me
I love experimenting new recipes and I like to cook healthy for my family with all organic ingredients. I avoid all of the processed food, that's why I make pretty much everything from scratch.
My favorite things to cook
We love salads with homemade salad dressing. We also love seafood, tex-mex and vegetarian dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The holidays are very special for us. I really enjoy cooking on Thanksgiving and Christmas and the kids love to help.
