Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Sooooooo good. I halved the recipe and nearly ate the whole thing myself! I didn't have butter crackers, so subbed with jalapeno cornbread crackers. The slight heat was a great addition. This ones a keeper.

Cucumber-Watermelon Salad

Refreshing, but you have to drain it often as the salt constantly drains the water from the melon. Therefore I could hardly taste the balsamic.

Oven Roasted Trout with Lemon Dill Stuffing

Excellent! Nice change from using a creamy sauce on fish. Trout is so mild that this stuffing didn't overwhelm it at all. Salmon might overpower this recipe though, so stick with trout.

Chocolate Ganache Icing

Any kind of liqueur works in this recipe. I prefer Kahlua. Rich and decadent. So much better than a sweet icing sugar laden frosting. I used it to top the fabulous Black Magic Cake from this site.

I had to stop myself from having thirds! It is heavenly decadent. Dark chocolate is so much better than regular chocolate for making it taste like a five star restaurant's $10 dessert. Super moist.

Four Egg Yellow Cake

Excellent cake for sculpting. Careful not to overcook or it gets dry edges. Tastes a bit like french toast (eggy?), but I haven't compared it to anything else besides box mix (which it is better than).

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Wonderful! They don't dry out like other peanut butter cookies. Add a 1/2 cup of chocolate chips to satisfy all cravings. Yummy!
