Nana's Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
My whole family loves this. I use half the sugar, and don't put the extra butter on top. It is still great. Thanks.

Apple-Stuffed Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
This was great. I added some raisins to the apples. I had a difficult time cutting into the squash, so I cooked the whole thing at 400 for about 15 minutes to soften it before cutting it in half.

Garlic Salmon

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
This was great. I didn't have any lemons, so I mixed lemon juice, olive oil, garlic and dill and poured it over the salmon to marinade it for about a half hour before. It was excellent.

Easy Platz (Coffee Cake)

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
This was good, but not great. I used the correct size pan, and it still took longer to cook. I didn't have a lot of flavor. I would probably increase amount of fruit if I were to make this again.

Strawberry Coffee Cake

Reviewed: May 24, 2008
This was very good and very easy to make. My family loved it. I omitted the nuts (as my daughter is allergic) and baked it for 45 minutes. Next time I will reduce the butter on the topping by 1 TBS. Thanks for sharing this very easy recipe!

Calzone

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2008
This is a great recipe. I divided the dough to make four separate calzones. Also, I will add a little less sugar next time, as I thought the dough was a little too sweet.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2008
This had good flavor, but I could not get it to thicken. It was very runny. It tasted much better the next day after the sauce thickened in the refridgerator.

These were very good. My husband and kids loved them. I used garlic powder, salt and pepper instead of the herbs, which still gave good flavor.

Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2008
This was excellent. My husband, who can be quite a critic, loved it. I added thyme to the rub, based on the suggestions of other reviewers. I also added the pan drippings to 1 cup of chicken broth and 1 TBS of cornstarch to make gravy.

Fabulous French Loaves

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2008
This is a great recipe. I have made this bread several times, and have consistently received rave reviews from family and friends. I have stopped using sesame seeds (because my daughter is allergic to them) and the bread still tastes great.
