About this Cook
I've been cooking since I was 10 or 12. I love to cook, and in particular there is just something about the presentation that makes me feel good when I know I did good and no one has to say anything, but you know they enjoyed it. I do not claim to be a chef, but I have never had a complaint about any dish I have made.
My favorite things to cook
This is way to vague and hard to answer. I love to cook period. I love a variety of foods, especially beef, pork, chicken and fish. But I do have one favorite thing you could classify as cooking in a way. I spent a few years in Italy studying to be a barista, and I love to make espresso based drinks, lattes, cappuccino's, etc.
My favorite family cooking traditions
There are no real traditions passed down from my family. But I guess I have started my own with a very basic taco dish. Nothing fancy, just ground beef seasoned, corn tortilla's pan fried, and of course diced tomatoes and grated Cheddar cheese.
My cooking triumphs
Probably my biggest triumph was over coming my fear of experimentation. I used to think that I had to follow the recipe no matter what. If you are talking about a particular dish, then I'd have to say, Grilled Chicken with Gazpacho Salsa.
My cooking tragedies
That falls in the realm of baking really. I just do not enjoy baking that much, so that is the source of my cooking tragedies.

Chicken and Corn Chili
This recipe is great! I was a little short on time, so I sped it up a little by simmering the chicken for about 30 min in a large stock pot with about 1/2 a cup of water, then added the salsa and letting it simmer for another hour. I then, removed the chicken and pulled it apart;then, I returned the chicken to the pot and added the remaining ingredients. It still came out fantastic. I can't wait to actually use a crock pot and make it according the the recipe. This was a real hit!!!!!
