Garlic Spread

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
I made this quick and simple spread yesterday and I found it to be so overwhelmingly excellent. This is a great dip to bring to a party with some Sociables' crackers. It took me about 15 minutes to make.

Snickerdoodles II

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2009
I never made snickerdoodle cookies before and I believe this is the best tasting cookie I have ever had. Once you mix all the ingredients and have your batter, I noticed it was very dry and unable to make a ball. I added about 1/2 stick of chilled butter and mixed it on the mixing setting on my mixer. This helped to make the batter less flaky/dry. It was so easy to roll the balls into the cinnamon sugar mix. I would bake this for about 9 minutes and let sit on a baking rack. I slightly overbaked mine for 13 minutes and the cookie became really hard, yet softer in the middle. This makes a great cookie with milk or to dip in tea.

Pumpkin Bar Icing

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
I used this icing as a filler in between two tiny sugar cookies. This was for a sugar cookie sandwich recipe. For Valentine's Day coming up, I used red food coloring in the icing. I received a lot of compliments on this icing. However, I felt that this icing tasted too much like powdered sugar. This would be a great icing on top of sugar cookes.

Blackberry Cobbler II

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
I'm not a big blackberry fan, but I really enjoyed this recipe. I never knew to actually cook the blackberries. I think this recipe would be great with strawberries as well. This recipe would be great warm with vanilla beam ice-cream and a cold glass of milk! I took this cobbler into work and let it sit on the table in the middle of my team. It was gone by the time I left work. And due to the holidays there was only 3 on my team, which meant that 3 people ate the whole cobbler. The only thing I may change is to add a little bit more sugar to the batter. Other than that, it was great!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
This is one of the most delicious dessert recipes I have ever made. I used pink lady apples because they are the sweetest apples. I love the crumb cake topping, this can defintely be used in other recipes including crumb cake. I ended up only using 3 apples with the same portion of crumb topping. I thought I had more apples to use. This dessert only lasted 2 days in my house.

Egg Noodles

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
This recipe is excellent. A few changes, I froze the dough for 20 minutes and added extra flour on top before putting it in boiling water. These noodles have to boil for about 20-25 minutes, so they are not as gooey in the middle. I cut them into about 1/2 inch squares because they fluff up in the boiling water. I added these noodles to the chicken noodle soup recipe I found on allrecipes.com. I made this recipe in 1 hour. I will use this egg noodle recipe for future gnocchi meals as well.

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
We had an appetite for chicken noodle soup. So I found this recipe and was able to find all of the ingredients around my house. I made this in 1 hour including homemade noodles I found on allrecipes.com. The only thing I changed in this recipe was I added a pinch of garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, dill, and chives. Also, I added white corn and parmesan cheese. One suggestion, you may want to use more than 4 cups of chicken broth. My ingredients sucked up the broth. This was delicious!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2008
I have been really excited to make this recipe and finally I made it last night as a snack while I watched a movie. It only took approx 30 minutes! I didn't have ham, so instead I used turkey bacon. I would prefer regular bacon better. I added a little bit of shredded sharp cheddar on top and allowed it to melt. I think next time I would use a 1/2 cup of sour cream too. This recipe was excellent and very flavorful. I think it would be great to add clams into it as well.

Hashbrown Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
This casserole recipe is pretty delicious. I used 1 can of condensed cream of chicken, plus 1 can of condensed cheese soup. I felt that 2 cans was too much and the recipe was too creamy. I wasn't a fan of the result of this recipe, but EVERYONE loved this casserole at my work. I call them my testers... it was gone in about 2 hours.

Berry Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
It was breakfast day at my work and I was excited to make these crumb bars. I'm not too much of a fan with berries, but I used strawberries instead of the blackberries. My bars went fast. The crumb crust was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to make these again, so simple!

Dirt Cake I

I'm not a cream cheese fan with desserts, but the cream filling in this dessert is absolutely delicious. I split my recipe in half and hopefully my colleagues will enjoy this dessert tomorrow.

Mom's Island Treasures

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2008
I was gathering up recipe ideas for my graduation party and I came across this excellent recipe! The only minor ingredient I changed was instead of using milk chocolate chips... I cut up a Hershey bar (you could use kisses too). I love the taste of Hershey in cookies.
