Cheese Garlic Biscuits II

Loved them. Went easy on the garlic in the butter. I would be willing to bet that Red Lobster puts garlic salt in their butter, not actual garlic. I like this better. Thanks!

Brown Sugar Masa Shortbread with Anise Glaze

Black Beans 'N' Rice

Eileen's Spicy Gingerbread Men

Great gingerbread. Though it was full of the flavor of the spices, I didn't find it to be 'spicy'. I iced these into skeletons for Halloween. They were perfect.

Very nice. It really does need the whole tablespoon of extract, if you use anise. I will try turning the oven down to 350 next time, though, as the times for baking were way off.

Chicken with Red Chile Sauce and Sausage (Pollo con Salsa Rojo y Chorizo)

Superb and easy, too! I subbed a can of diced tomato and boneless skinless chicken breasts, but otherwise followed the recipe. It was so delicious, I can't wait to share it!

The Captain's Famous Jambalaya

I didn't use snapper or mushroom stock. I used andouille sausage, shrimp and chicken broth. But the flavors of the jambalaya and texture of the rice were OUTSTANDING! File powder is worth finding. Excellent recipe. Thank you for sharing.
