Deer Chop Hurry

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
Everyone in my house loved this wild game dish--including myself who usually can't tolerate the gaminess of deer. The meat was so tender and moist with no gaminess.

Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
My family thought this was a very tasty dish. I used leftover Xmas ham that I had chopped and placed in the freezer, so it was very quick to throw this dish together. While we were away at basketball games, it was cooking. We were able to come home and sit down to a warm meal even though on the run most of the day. The only variation I chose was to use milk in place of the water. It was very creamy.

Fried Dill Pickles

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
I have made these twice and each time they were a big hit in our home. I followed the recipe exactly and used ranch dressing for dipping sauce. They are very similar to the fried pickles that one of the local bar/grills in our town is known for.

Mom's Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
Made the recipe just as submitted. Very easy to make and so delicious. Much better than any box pancake mix. Whole family loved them. I even added frozen blueberries to half of the batter and they were wonderful as well!! This recipe is a keeper.

Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
I've made this recipe a few times and the whole family loves it. I use whatever veggies I have on hand, but fresh broccoli and snow peas are a hit in our house. Very easy to make. You can cut the chicken and veggies up ahead of time which make meal time prep much quicker.

Croutons

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
Great way to use up left over and stale bread and buns. Experimented w/ various spices. I used an Italian bread dipping spice and it was great. I stored it in an airtight tupperware container and they last for weeks.

Fruit Dip II

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2012
This is a great dip for all fruits and lasts quite some time in the fridge. I use one tub of whipped strawberry cream cheese instead of plain--it is wonderful! Kids and adults, as well, love it!

Caprese Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2012
Very good. Reminds me of Caprese salad that I had while in Italy. I used fresh mozz balls and bow tie pasta.

Venison Schnitzel

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2013
My husband and teens loved it, as well as myself who is not a huge fan of venison. Followed the recipe as is except used combo of backstrap and tenderloin, and added garlic powder to flour mixture. It was not gamey at all and very tender. This recipe is a definite keeper!! Thank you to the person who submitted it!!
