Apple Crisp IV

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2013
Great recipe, my family loved it. Lots of topping and oats, which we love. I cut the flour to 1.5c and added 2.5c of oats. I also cut the butter to 1c (2 sticks). I thought the amount of butter was fine, not to dry. I also tossed the apples in cinnamon and added 1c of cranberries. I used about 10 apples. I'll try adding a touch of vanilla next time. This is a great base recipe that you can tweak to your liking. Enjoy.

Cioccolata Calda (Hot Chocolate Italian-Style)

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2012
I loved this. Very dark chocolatey thick flavor. The consistency was like warm pudding. i always have these ingredients in the cabinet, which is a plus. I used to drink this when I traveled to Italy and Malta. Until now, I had been drinking warm pudding until I found this recipe. It satisfies my fix. I added a splash of vanilla, touch of cinnamon and salt, and used 2 tbls of sugar. Will definitely make again. Top with a few mini marshmallows or whip cream and enjoy.

Grandma's Doughnuts

This was easy and delicious. I used a tall shot glass to make the doughnut holes. I may try stuffing them with a baster using pudding next time.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
great recipe. easy, especially since this was my 1st fruit pie. I used a whole pie crust for the top. after the 1st 15min. I lightly covered the entire top with foil. I also brushed the crust with the hot mixture and it added somthing special to the finished product. I added 1/4 teasp. of vanilla, 1 teasp. cinnamon, a dash of nutmeg. It was a bit sweet for me & I may use a little less white sugar next time. overall I give it 5 stars.

Apple Oatmeal Crisp

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
This was good, but next time I'd use more apples. I used 4 med. mac. apples and it measured to about 4 cups, but next time I will double to 8 apples and leave the spice ratio the same. Also, I only used 1/4c white sugar to coat the apples and it was sweet enough. Defintely serve with ice cream.

Butterscotch Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
This is a great recipe with simple ingredients and steps. I substituted one of the cups of milk with whipping cream, added peacans, and cooked it for 55 min., and it was perfect. I love bread pudding usually with sauce, but this recipe is so good without sauce. Top with whip cream and vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2012
These were so easy and delicious. I will definitely make them again and use this recipe as a base for other fruit. Loved the topping. I substituted brown sugar in the muffin mix and it was great. These were nice and big. I used paper cupcake holders and forgot to spray the top of the pan and some of the crumbs stuck. Next time I may forgo the paper cups and just spray the whole pan. They were very big and made 9 muffins in a regular size cupcake tin. Double the recipe because they won't last long!

This was good. I made this with left over corned beef & cabbage. I didn't add extra potatoes because I had a ton of left overs. Just cut up corned beef & potatoes and followed directions.
