Cajun Spiced Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2010
The only thing I did differently was to use butter in place of the butter spray. Otherwise I followed the recipe exactly and loved it. Easy, super quick and delicious!

Shrimp Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2010
It was too bland, even with the addition of garlic and lots of cracked pepper. My husband put Chinese chili sauce on it so he could eat it...not a good sign.

Other than replacing beef with ground turkey I followed the recipe exactly. It is a keeper.

Okra and Tomatoes

Reviewed: May 22, 2010
I gave this four stars because I had to add Cajun seasoning to spice it up...it was too bland (for my taste) without it.

Chicken, Asparagus, and Mushroom Skillet

Reviewed: May 22, 2010
This was wonderful! I doubled the amount of herbs, lemon juice and wine because I had double the amount of asparagus and mushrooms. It was better than I anticipated and I will definitely make it again.

Lemon Pepper Peas

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
I'm always looking for new ways to season vegetables and I'm glad I tried this recipe. I melted the butter in the microwave, stirred 1/4 tsp. each of the lemon pepper and dill weed into the melted butter then added it to the peas. Delicious!

Four Cheese Margherita Pizza

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2010
I love Margherita pizza so I was anxious to try this. The marinated tomatoes were fabulous. I had a few left, plus the marinade, which I used the next day mixed with broccoli...yummy! I only used Mozzarella and shredded Parmesan (hence the 4 stars) but otherwise everything else was per your recipe. The smartest thing I did before I made it was to buy a pizza stone. What a difference that made in the crust! It was the best pizza I've ever made.

Balsamic-Glazed Salmon Fillets

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2010
I made this exactly as written and thought it was very good. I only had 2 fillets so I had extra sauce which I boiled down a little more and added to the fillets after they were done.

Pork Marsala

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2010
Easy, delicious and the chops were fork tender. I needed to add salt (at the table) to cut the sweetness of the Marsala but my husband loved it just as it was.

Dijon-Tarragon Cream Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2010
My husband and I loved this chicken. I didn't have fresh tarragon so I used a tsp. of dried but it was still delicious. We are eating the leftovers for lunch. This us definitely a recipe I will used again and again.

Pork Chops with Delicious Gravy

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
When I try new recipes I usually judge them by my husbands reaction. He loved this one. I thought it was good but not fabulous, hence the 4 stars. Part of the secret is to purchase good chops (I used thick butterflied chops) and not to over cook (which I used to do until I bought a digital meat thermometer...every cook should have one). Pork only needs to reach 160 degrees. One other thing; I doubled the gravy recipe and I'm glad I did because otherwise I wouldn't have had enough.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2010
I made this according to the recipe, using Tamari (no MSG added) and the sauce was very good. I used boneless, skinless thighs and baked for 45 minutes, turning after 30. My husband loved it.

Never Fail Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2010
Except for the addition of the baking powder, a 1/4 cup more flour and nuts (which I didn't want anyway) this recipe is identical to the Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe. I tried it because I wanted to see if the baking powder made a difference, which it did. Thanks.

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
After making a few changes suggested by others it turned out pretty good. I added frozen chopped onion, frozen chopped bell peppers and minced garlic. I subbed dressing mix for the bread crumbs which I soaked in the milk. I'm not eating red meat for awhile so this will satisfy my meatloaf craving.
