Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2008
They taste great, but these are really thin flat cookies. They were so thin we rolled them up after they cooled and ate them. Very moist overall, but likely not making these again.

Cheesy Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
I used olive oil instead of butter and 1 tsp of garlic powder because I didn't have any garlic cloves.

Best of the Best Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2008
I dusted my blueberries with a little flour to prevent them from sinking to the bottom, but I guess I should have used more flour on them. Most of them sunk creating a soggy blueberry bottom. use 1/2 the blueberries next time. I also added 1 tsp of vanilla extract. I think I will The sugar crust was really good, though!

This was only my second time making shrimp. My boyfriend liked it. I used Italian seasoned breadcrumbs.

Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2008
I used other user's suggestions and added a full cup of milk, brown sugar and vanilla. I wouldn't suggest using the cheap chocolate chips and I did. Go for the familiar brand of choice. I may try this again with blue berries. The batter isn't too sweet or anything.

Angel Food Cupcakes

Reviewed: May 31, 2008
The top was crunchy and the middle was too squishy. I think I may have mixed a second too long. My mix was never *liquidy* and I beat it on low for 45 seconds. It turned really foamy... They didn't taste like any angel food cake I've had before either.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2008
I have to retract my previous statement. I read the article by allrecipes and found out what I did wrong. DO NOT USE THE WHIPPED STUFF IN THE TUB. USE REAL BUTTER!! These cookies turned out okay when I used real butter. Before I used the stuff out of a tub and they did not turn out. Not the best, but not bad.

Easy Biscuit Mixture

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2008
I've made this several times, using the recipe to yield 3 instead of 24. (It actually makes 6 biscuits). I also used another users directions and added 1/2 cup of milk and I use butter instead of shortening. They taste great! I combine all of the dry ingredients, cut the butter into small bits and blend it with my hands. Then, I add the milk a little at a time, mixing it with my hands until I form a nice sturdy lump and I knead it maybe 10 times. Some people may roll it out, but I just flatten it to 1/2 inch thick with my hands and cut it using a glass since I don't have a biscuit cutter!

Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2008
I made these without the vanilla extract. I think they would have tasted much better if I had used it.

Korean Spicy Chicken and Potato (Tak Toritang)

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2008
I used red potatoes and added diced red peppers like another user suggested. I enjoyed eating the potatoes more than the chicken, my boyfriend loved it, but said it was almost as good as his mom makes. Maybe next time! :) I will try this again.

Fried Apple Pies

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2008
I halved the recipe and it came out fine for my first time, I wasn't very confident about how the apples should look while they are cooking, but they tasted just fine. I may try these again later.

This was a good base for the recipe, but I had to make some changes to make it resturant style.

Awesome Korean Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2008
Awesome! I made this for my boyfriend since he didn't get to go home to Korea this year. I made your recipe and another marinade from the bottle, guess which one he liked best? He loved it!! He shoveled food in his mouth faster than I've ever seen him eat before! He kept asking me if it was store brought (pre-marinaded meat from the Asian market) and was so impressed with me when I told him I had made it! Thank you for posting this! Since, I'm not Korean and I know he loves Korean food I will make this for him often!

Basic Crepes

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2008
I really liked it, but I followed my own recipe the second time I tried this based on suggestions from other users and my own ideas. I added 1 cup of milk instead 1/2 milk and 1/2 water, I also added two tablespoons of sugar and vanilla extract because I wanted them to be sweet and 1 tsp of water. I also didn't like the egg texture so I reduced the recipe to one egg. They tasted sweet like a funnel cake and that's what I was going for!

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
Wonderful! This was my first time making French toast and it came out perfect. I made 4 instead of 12 like the recipe, and the conversion worked out perfectly. I topped it with powdered sugar and that was all it needed!

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
I loved it!! This was my first time making cookies from scratch versus buying the dough in the store and I didn't know what to expect. I followed other users advise and added 2 tsp. of water to the mix. They were so good I made them twice in one week! The first time I used two sticks of margarine instead of butter and the dough spread very quickly, so I made them into 3/4 inch balls that spread into 1 1/2 inch cookies, I think I made at least 80 cookies, which is perfect because I have a large family. They were extra chewy!! The first time I simply added the ingredients as I took them out of the fridge, but the second time I combined the sugar and butter as the recipe asked, it didn't seem to make much of a difference. Also, I had to set my oven at 325 degrees because it heats very well. I didn't get to form them into cute shapes because they spread quickly. I think I could have the second time because I refrigerated the dough for an hour instead of 10 minutes as I did the first time. After rolling the cookies into balls I rolled them in sugar and then rolled them again so that the sugar would press into the dough. I will make these cookies again and again!
