Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
This soup is outstanding. Better than Olive Garden, and WAY cheaper! Definitely a keeper in my book.

Baby Back Ribs

These ribs are fantastic. Before wrapping in foil, we sprinkled both sides of ribs liberally with the Memphis Rub found on this site. At the end, broil until sauce carmelizes/thickens a bit. Delish!

I happened to have all the ingredients and needed something quick to take to the neighbors' house one night. This dip was a real hit and everyone asked for the recipe.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
This is now my one and only stroganoff recipe! The cream cheese makes this recipe AMAZING. Great comfort food for a cold night. Throw it in the crockpot early morning, come home to delicious-smelling house and wonderful dinner at night. A definite keeper.

Fresh Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
What a perfect way to eat a superfood! Everyone loved this salad, maybe even more than the ribs we served it with. Definitely worth the time/effort it takes to fry up a little bacon.

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
I was skeptical about these, but wanted something I could make ahead. These potatoes were delicious - the cream cheese and sour cream kept them smooth and creamy. YUM

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
I do NOT like coffee, but I love this cake! I thought I could taste the coffee flavor in anything, thereby eliminating it from the list of stuff I'll eat. Try as I might, I could not detect the coffee in this cake. It is moist and very delicious!

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
WOW, these are the best brownies ever! I keep getting requests for more. Adding more chocolate chips is even better, and don't overcook - these are best a bit gooey and fudgy. Again, WOW!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2011
This meat is moist, tender, and delicious with no sauce or with any BBQ sauce. I only had a small pork roast so added two large boneless skinless chicken breasts, chicken broth, water, and a couple of beef bouillon cubes. Shredded them all together before adding generic sauce...delicious! Made it again last night with a small pork tip sirloin roast (no chicken), water, bouillon cubes, and sprinkled with garlic powder, black pepper and parsley flakes. Instead of shredding, I sliced it as a roast. Again, very flavorful and moist...you cannot go wrong with this recipe. Thank you, Livie's Mammy!

Italian Peas

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2008
This is delicious and barely takes longer than boiling a bag of frozen peas. We sauteed the onion and garlic, then after a couple of minutes added sliced mushrooms. This dish is very aromatic and tastes wonderful!

Baked Applesauce

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2008
Our family is applesauce snobs because my mother-in-law's homemade applesauce is so delicious, we can't even look at store-bought anymore. I made this recipe for my in-laws this week, and they loved it - it got rave reviews from the queen herself. Thanks for a great recipe.

Chocolate Spiders

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2008
This recipe is wonderful. Made it with my son for his grandparents, who keep running out and asking for more! We have made three batches now, to share with family/friends - everyone loves these. We've used combos of semi-sweet/butterscotch/PB that others suggested, as well as milk choc/butterscotch. It helps to refrigerate the spiders if you use PB in the recipe - the PB makes the coating a tiny bit melty. All were delicious and very fun to make.
