Chiffon Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2011
I thought this was going to be really difficult but my KitchenAid made it a breeze. Super light, sweet and delicious. I made it in two 8-inch rounds for a layer cake and baked it 40 mins. Could've used another 5-10 I think, but it's hard to tell when it's "done" without being overdone. Next time I know - this will be my go-to birthday cake from now on!

Food Processor Chocolate Whipped Cream Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2011
Doubled this recipe for a layer cake and used my KitchenAid with paddle blade. Super quick, easy and delicious! My new go-to light frosting. It was a bit on the chocolately side for me so I added about a 1/4 c. of powdered sugar to sweeten it up a bit. Next time I'll probably just leave out some cocoa.

Italian Wedding Soup I

I give this recipe an 'eh'. It was bland and definitely didn't have enough 'stuff' in it.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2008
These were AWESOME. The only thing I changed was to use 1 c of white sugar and 1/2 c of brown sugar. I also used white chocolate chips instead of chocolate. Made them this morning and they're almost gone already! They're sweet and buttery, so so so good. I'll definitely make them again.

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2008
Oh. My. Goodness. This was amazing. I used a graham-cracker crust and slathered a layer of hot fudge from a jar on the crust before adding the peanut butter filling. We ate it in 2 days - mmmmmmm. Will definitely make this again and again.

Grilled Delmonico Steaks

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2008
I made this marinade tonight for a bunch of friends and everyone loved it. I made it for 6, so increased all of the ingredients, which made me end up with SO much extra. I probably didn't need to do that. Also, I heeded the salt warning from previous reviewers and eliminated the salt and the steak seasoning all together. I added 3 tbsp of brown sugar and 1/4 c. of BBQ sauce to sweeten it up a bit - it was a HUGE hit. I'll definitely make this again!
