About this Cook
I am a paralegal who doesn't cook too much, but when I do the end product is great! My favorite thing to make is reservations. ;)
My favorite things to cook
The pound cake III on this website, macaroni and cheese, hot pineapple salad, crock pot boiled peanuts, carrot cake, crock pot dry black eye peas, peach cobbler.
My cooking triumphs
The pound cake III on this website is the highlight of my life! This was my very first attempt at ever making a pound cake from scratch and it turned out fabulous and moist!
My cooking tragedies
When attempting to make a lemon merringue pie with my sister as a teenager we got through the making of the actual pie. When I asked her for the egg whites that had been separated earlier she looked dumbfounded and said she'd poured them down the drain!

Pound Cake III
I would give this pound cake a 10 if I could! It is FABULOUS and moist. (I used two sticks of Blue Bonnett margarine instead of butter.) I am 51 years old and have never made a pound cake in my life, much less one from scratch. I made the first one with a hand mixer a few days before Christmas and got rave reviews at the law firm where I work and my family. Even my neighbor (who considers himself a pound cake expert) was floored by how good this one was. I made two more for a gathering on Christmas eve and my family's Christmas dinner. I have now ordered Kitchenaid stand mixer and plan to make lots and lots more of these fabulous cakes with variations. Thank you so much for putting this recipe on the internet!!!!!
