Slow-Cooked Steak Fajitas

Came home all ready for fajitas and what was waiting for me was more like a goulash. The flavor was lacking and the meat did not hold up (7 hours is WAY too long for thinly sliced flank if you are cutting it properly) I added more items to increase the flavor such as more spice, lime juice, canned green chilis which helped. My husband mixed it with rice since it was more shredded beef than fajitas.

Venison Stew I

Holy Moly, this was good! First time attempting to cook venison and I am glad I picked this recipe. I took the suggestions of others and browned the meat with brown gravy mix used in place of flour. I also used beef broth instead of water and added a splash of red wine (which I usually will do when cooking with beef broth). My husband raved about it! He took it to work for lunch and shared some with his crew, they were also floored! Will make again, trying with beef as well. Thanks you Buchko!!

Chicken In Sour Cream

SALTY!!!!!!!! I didnt add the additional salt as others said it was too salty but even without the added, still too salty for me. I ended up adding plain steamed carrots and steamed rice which helped balance the salt taste, probably wont make it again. My husband said it was okay but he usually salts his food (he didnt with this meal which says alot)

this is more like chicken creole instead of jambalaya but it was wonderful no matter what! I had to improvise on the ingredients (had no sausage and used stewed tomato instead of diced). It was a little juicy but turned out perfect with adding cooked rice into it

Marinated Flank Steak

I was looking something besides the 2 dishes i usually do for flank steak, boy am i glad i picked this recipe!! made as stated and it need no improvement. meat was very moist and flavorful. oh yeah, i only marinated for 1-1/2 hour.

Carol's Arroz Con Pollo

AMAZING! Have made it quite a few times now changing it to what I have in the house (always adding more cumin than asked for, my fave spice!). This recipe is a winner every time. Best part is my hubby said its better than his mothers, who is from Panama!! I am sure he wont let her in on that, lol

Roasted Rack of Lamb

It was pretty good but next time I will grill outside, which is my preffered cooking method for lamb. the smell was intoxicating and had us drooling before the plates hit the table though!
