Passover Chocolate Torte

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2009
This is a fantastic passover recipe - and a darn good recipe for year round use. I made it yesterday for the first time and have another one in the oven right now! Follow the directions exactly as written - nothing needs to be changed!

Joan's Famous Mondel Brodt

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
I have been using this recipe for the past 3 years and it has never failed me! I tend to bake it a bit longer both the first and second times (usually 30 minutes the first time at 325, and then after they cool I put them back in for 10 minutes on each side at 350). They always turn out deliciously crunchy without being too dry and have great taste. I always substitute chocolate chips for the nuts - it's by far the most requested thing I make!

We love this recipe! I made it for the first time last year for Thanksgiving and have been making it ever since. I follow the recipe as written and wouldn't change a thing - it has turned out great everytime.

I've made these cookies several times and every time they are a hit! My husband's co-worker, a self proclaimed chocolate chip aficiondo considers these the best he's ever had!

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
5 stars only because I used the modification listed by another user and didn't stick to the original recipe. I added 1/4 c flour and 1/2 tsp baking soda and the cookies turned out almost perfect. The only thing I'd change is next time I'd add another 1/4 c raisins because I really like raisins!

Whole Wheat Blueberry Muffins

Simply delicious! I followed the recipe exactly and they turned out very well. Moist, tasty, and good texture. I doubled the recipe, and baked the two tins for 10 minutes longer (30 minutes).

Apple Pancake Tier

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
We really liked this recipe. The pancakes really fluff up in the oven, so we didn't end up stacking them (although you definitely could). Since there were three of us eating we just each took a layer and piled on the apples. I used about 14 medium sized apples - I didn't measure out the cups. And, when cooking the apples I added the apples, butter, and sugar all at the same time and just let it saute together for 15 minutes. Note: this is a very eggy tasting pancake, but really the consistency and taste is great!

Icy Banana Milkshake

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
If you're looking for a strong banana taste this is not the recipe for you. This didn't taste bad - but it was kind of like drinking thick, foamy, slightly sweet milk.
