Mom's Italian Potato Salad

Reviewed: May 23, 2009
I don't know what seems strange about raw celery and onions. I've never made a patato salad that didn't have a variety of raw veg in it - onions, celery, peppers, etc. I've made a similar recipe to this one and my family really likes the variety of a potato salad w/olives and oil; versus traditional version mayo, mustard, etc. As far as "onion-y", that can easily be adjusted to taste.

Robbi's M&M Cookies

Use butter flavored Crisco. Makes the BEST cookies - taste like butter, but doesn't spread out like butter.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2008
I am guessing that the person who's fudge turned out grainy missed the soft ball stage or stirred too vigoursly after it did - which can cause graininess. Fudge is tricky! I always use a candy thermometer - it takes away a lot of the guesswork.

Strawberry Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2008
I've made this cake and another similar for two of my boys' b-days cakes. It is fab! I wonder if the woman who said it was "sickening sweet and had to throw it out" used sweetened strawberries? That would definitely make it overly sweet. Use fresh or flash frozen - no sugar.

Cornbread Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
I believe the recipe should have one - 8 ounce sour cream. The recipe I use also calls for two eggs.
