Chocolate Earl Grey Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
Absolutely wonderful! Instead of dropping onto the cookie sheet, I rolled the dough into small balls and then pressed slightly. Then topped with decorative sugar. Lovely! Don't cook more than 8 minutes. Perfect, dense, cake-like cookies!

Vegetable Masala

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
The flavor of this was pretty good - but I found the veggies to be way undercooked. I would microwave them longer next time.

This was just delicious!!! After seeing another reviewers suggestion, I added about a tsp of sugar when mixing the final ingredients together. Perfect!

Cinnamon-Raisin Granola

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
Soooooo good - and so much better than store-bought granola! The second time I made this I substituted about 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil for Dark Seseme Oil and added seseme seeds to the mixture before baking. Added a fantastic nutty flavor!

Best Cream Of Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
This was delicious. I added more celery (4 stalks) and two cloves of garlic. I also used soy milk and used an immersion blender to blend the soup. Yum!

Soba with Toasted Sesame Seed Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2008
This was really great. I doubled the sauce and added carrots to the broccoli. I also sauteed the vegetables briefly and served the dish hot. I also used Udon vs Soba noodles because that's what I had on hand. Good stuff.

Curried Quinoa Salad with Mango

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2008
This was good. I used vegetable stock but would reduce the stock next time - as I did think it was too salty. Next time I would also add more veggies!

Ethiopian Cabbage Dish

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
I doubled or trippled the spices but still found this a little bland. I love the texture though. Will play with the spices and try to kick it up a notch.

These were good - a great earthy flavor. Do need to work on the flour ratio... VERY sticky!

Squash Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
If you like goat cheese and butternut squash, you'll love this dip! I served with sliced baguette and substituted roasted pine nuts for the walnuts. Also added a little bit of salt. For a more mild flavor, you could substitute cream cheese for 1/2 of the goat cheese. Very beautiful appetizer. Lots of great comments!

Swiss Chard with Pinto Beans and Goat Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
Absolutely DELICIOUS!!! One of my new favorites! I used black beans instead of pinto and did up the Red Pepper flakes to make it a little more zippy. Served over whole wheat pasta. Yum!

Dairy Free Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2008
I REALLY enjoyed this pudding recipe and it was so simple! And vegan! I did increase the sugar to 1/3 cup and also added an 1/8 tsp of orange extract which gave the pudding a wonderful 'chocolate orange' flavor. Yum!
