About this Cook
Probably not the usual all recipes demographic, I'm a single 27 year old "home town girl" living in Los Angeles!
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, soups, and BIG holiday dinners
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas cookies Grandma's scalloped corn and mom's wild rice dressing
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving pies for brother in law's family- turned out great and I was the only one who made theirs!
My cooking tragedies
Ugh, pie crust. I use the same recipe and 15% of the time it turns out like crap. (85% of the time it is great!) ...and I always spell recipe wrong.

Austrian Pancake
....at first I thought that this wasn't all that impressive...now that I'm back probably for the 7th or 8th time to remake this pancake I guess I'm sold. I now crave this poofy egg goodness.

Ginger Veggie Stir-Fry
yum. Thanks for giving me a way to use that fresh ginger and all the veggies in my kitchen! Wow, that makes up for the McDonalds I ate at lunch!! :) I used green cabbage, mushrooms, carrot, green onion, spinach, broccolini, and snow peas (I had a lot of vegetables in my fridge!)

Soda Cracker Cookies
my grandmother used to make these :) It was great to find an official recipe rather than grandma's 'guesstimates'. Crackers will shift when they are put in the oven, so fill the pan rather than keeping them in the middle. I also use parchment or non-stick foil to ease cleanup.
