About this Cook
I'm originally from Florida, but moved up to Canada when I was a kid. My Dad's American and my Mom's French Canadian, but speaks English too. I've grown up eating a wide variety of foods, from typical American to the much different French Canadian. I've got 2 children of my own who are part Italian, so now we eat even more variety!!
My cooking tragedies
A few years ago, we had decided to have my family over for Thanksgiving dinner,as we usually go to my parent's house. I had NO idea that a turkey took so long to my husband bought a frozen 18 lb turkey on Thanksgiving morning and when I tried to put the bugger in the microwave to defrost....he just wouldn't fit! So I thawed as long as I could, running warm water over him and decided to stick him in the oven, he'd thaw out there while he cooked. When my family got to my place, my Mom commented on how the house did not smell of kidding, it was still frozen in the oven. I hosted Thanksgiving again this year, and believe me, the turkey was in the fridge thawing for 4 days! I never made that mistake again!!

Banana Crumb Muffins
These were good, just not the most moist I've ever made. The crumb topping is too sweet, next time I would decrease the brown sugar and increase the flour just abit to make it less sugary.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
As I sit here, chomping on one of these chocolate chip cookies, I thought I should review them! My 8 year old replied back to me last night when I told her the recipe was called Best Chocolate Chip Cookies, "I don't know if these are the best you made, but they are good!" So, sorry, no 5 stars but a good 4 for sure. Thank you for the recipe!
