Sweet Mustard Chicken Bake

Reviewed: May 31, 2009
simple,quick- I dipped in sauce and in bread crumbs for husband and son- for me (low carb) I just left plain and basted during cooking- I used sugar free honey (sold at the wally world, tastes like real deal!) and ballpark mustard (outta dijon)- didn't cut butter, seemed fine for us- chicken was very tender- husband said he would not eat again soon- said it was good but not his favorite thing- son thought it was awesome- they like honey mustard more for dipping though- thanks

GOOD ASIAN FLAVOR- MY ONLY CHANGE WAS I USED FRESH GINGER THAT I HAD ON HAND AND I ADDED A TEAS. OF MINCED GARLIC- MINE TURNED OUT TOUGH- I THOUGHT THE PORK WOULD BE TENDER- MAYBE I WILL COVER NEXT TIME- HUSBAND DID NOT LIKE AT ALL BUT HE DOES NOT LIKE ASIAN FOOD- THE SAUCE IS LIKE A MARINADE I USED TO USE- MIGHT ALSO TRY AS THAT- THANKS

Mozzarella Mushroom Chicken

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
I KNOW I SHOULD TRY AS RECIPE STATES FIRST BUT I COULDN'T HELP MYSELF- I KNOW THIS RECIPE AS STATED WOULD BE AWESOME THOUGH- BUT.... HERE'S MY CHANGES- PLEASE REMEMBER THAT I EAT LOW CARB, SO FAT IS NOT COUNTED- 4 BONELESS CHIC BREAST- POUNDED THEM- PLACED IN A BAKING DISH AND SALTED, PEPPERED, AND SMEARED ON MINCED GARLIC- LAID SMALL SLICES OF BUTTER ON TOP-LAID BACON ON TOP OF THAT (NOT HUGE AMOUNTS PEOPLE)- BAKED AT 350 UNTIL ALMOST COOKED- TURNED ON BROILER TO CRISP BACON- COVER IN MUSHROOMS THAT I HAD SAUTEED IN PAN WITH BUTTER AND COVERED WITH MOZZARELLA- RAN BACK UNTIL BROILER UNTIL MELTED- I DECIDED TO BAKE 'COZ ONCE YOU POUND 4 BREASTS ITS HARD TO COOK IN A SKILLET ALL AT ONCE- HOLY COW- IT WAS SO AWESOME AND TENDER- AND ACTUALLY BEAUTIFUL- THAT CHEESE UNDER THE BROILER STARTS TO JUST GET COLOR LIKE IT DOES ON A PIZZA- NICE PRESENTATION-

I MADE THIS TO THE RECIPE- THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BEING I USED A BUNDT PAN- DID NOT BAKE WELL FOR ME- I HAD A LOT OF DROPS- (I BELIEVE WHERE THE SUGAR HAD ACCUMULATED TO MUCH)IT WAS PRETTY UGLY- I WOULD CUT SUGAR IN HALF FOR SURE IF I WAS TO MAKE IT AGAIN- THE GLAZE ON TOP PUSHED IT WAY OVER THE EDGE FOR US- I THINK IT WOULD BE FINE IF YOU CUT IN HALF THE SUGAR THOUGH- TOO SWEET- REALLY RICH- HAD A GREAT OVERALL FLAVOR THOUGH- JUST NEEDS TWEAKING LIKE ALL THE SUGGESTIONS SAY-- THANKS 5-15-2009 I'M BACK TO ADD ANOTHER STAR 'COZ BY HUSBAND AND SON COULD NOT LEAVE THIS CAKE ALONE-

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2009
YUM- OF COURSE I CHANGED IT- I AM SURE THIS RECIPE AS IT READS IS VERY GOOD!! BUT TOO HOT FOR OUR TASTES- THINGS I CHANGED: 2 CANS GREEN CHILES- 1 CAN BROTH AND 1 CAN OF CREAM OF CHICKEN- 3 TEASPOONS OF CUMIN AND A SPRINKLE OF OREGANO (SOMETIMES IT IS TOO OVERPOWERING FOR ME) ONLY 2 CANS OF CANNELLINI BEANS- 2 LARGE BONELESS SKINLESS BREASTS THAT I SLICED VERY THIN AND COOKED WITH ONIONS- THIS IS ALL BASED ON THE SUGGESTIONS OF OTHERS- AND IT TURNED OUT DELICIOUS- I LIKE MY CHILI KINDA THICK- NOT LIKE SOUP AO THE CREAM OF CHICKEN HELPED AND I EVEN SPRINKLED IN A LITTLE FLOUR TO THICKEN FURTHER- FAVOR WAS GREAT-- MY HUSBAND, WHOSE PICKY AS HELL- SAID IT WAS AWESOME, HE WOULD GIVE IT 5 STARS AND WOULD EAT AGAIN- THATS LIKE AN OSCAR AWARD FOR HIM- THANKS FOR THE GREAT STARTER RECIPE!! IF YA LIKE IT HOT, I WOULD DEFINITELY TRY IT AS WRITTEN, IT IS JUST NOT OUR THING-

Lemon Wow Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2009
TASTES LIKE SPRING!!!! What a beautiful cake!! perfect for luncheons, brunches, any type of gathering!! Very simple and economical!! My store did not have the coconut pudding (shame, I loveeee coconut)- so i used vanilla pudding- I'm not a big user of tarragon, so I used thyme (would love to try this with lemon balm from my garden) - - I sprayed and sugared my cake pan- came out perfectly beautiful- It took longer for my oven- probably 45 mins- (new oven, but not convection-I just tested and added mins.)I did add a lemon glaze- could leave out herb, but it adds a whole different complex level to the cake- thanks for the recipe-
