YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Squash so good that even my husband (who really dislikes squash) ate his fair share! Would certainly make this again!!! Love the crunch of the nuts!

Grilled Pineapple

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY!!! I made mine with balsamic vinegar like another reviewer suggested along with the hotsauce and the zip/tang to the pineapple was devine! I would make this over and over and over again! Served it as a side dish along side of steak and... WOW!

Italian Scallop and Shrimp Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
I'm not so sure that I'll make this again. I like the recipe idea, I just don't think I cared much for the flavors blended together. I probably added a bit too much garlic and the oil was just too overwhelming for me. Perhaps if I tweaked it a bit for my own tastes I might be more gung-ho about it...

Fried Cabbage with Bacon, Onion, and Garlic

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
Super salty but I kind of like that. I found it to be a little addicting once you got started eating, that I just kept coming back to pick at more. I'm not so sure the salt taste and content would work well for other's tastebuds, but mine really liked it!

Seafood Chowder

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
I made this recipe EXACTLY as written and it was superb! We had family up visiting us in Maine from Alabama, so I wanted to give them a good ol' "Maine-themed" meal. This chowder was such a hit!

White Layer Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
Perfect for what I was looking for! I was making a pretty elaborate layered cake for my son's 1st birthday. It was super dense and moist and I was able to carve it up perfectly for the circus themed cake. I had plenty of other food at his party but all I kept hearing about during the party and for days after was how good the cake was! I made the high humidity icing from Wilton.com and spread that between the layers and on top. I'm making the cake again today for a baby shower cake and dying the batter baby blue. I'm positive it will get the same rave reviews! Just be forwarned, this is NOT a light and airy cake, however, it's most certainly dense and moist, so if that's what you need and are looking for, this cake is for you!

Apple Fritters I

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
We made a wicked mess making these! And we made WAY too much, it took forever to deep fry in our small deep fryer. If we made them again we would so cut the recipe in half! We also peeled/cored/sliced/ and then diced our apple slices for the sake of using the machine, which also gave us that much more to deep fry. Probably wasn't the best thing to do on our part!

Dill Pickles

REALLY liked these! I sliced them into chips with my mandoline, let them sit for a few days and couldn't resist and dug into them way too soon, still delish! Can't wait to make these again next season!

Interesting... I just don't think that I'm a fan of green beans, if you are, then you would probably like this recipe, I just don't think I like them LoL which is why I can't really review this fairly

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
Made this for a family who just came home with a new baby. BIG BIG hit and I had to send her the recipe. I'd make this over and over again with my Pampered Chef trifle bowl, it can also be very pretty to serve

Scotch Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
These were pretty time consuming for something I didn't find to be all the appetizing. They weren't bad, just kind of odd, but we decided to give them a try. Not sure I'd make these again, not the recipe's fault, just a personal preference

Ham and Swiss Casserole

I got lots of compliments, although I personally thought it was really dry, however, people liked it! I would make this again, maybe with a little more liquid ingredients added

Macaroni Au Gratin

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
Ehhhh, I guess we would have liked it more if it had more "real" cheese in it. Being that the processed cheese was all the cheese it called for, it tasted just like that, processes cheese. I guess we just must like the real deal taste better, probably just a personal preference...

Sweet and Savory Ribs

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
BIG BIG BIG hit in our family! I made these for some cousins and dropped them off in a crockpot at their home one night, they raved about them the next day. I also made them for the superbowl and my husband's family raved about them. This is a rib recipe I'll definitely keep!

Tangy Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
Very good. We had to modify it a bit on cooking time because our ham was raw. I cooked a 8lb raw ham for 2 hours at 325 and then put the glaze on for the next 2 hours and basted it frequently. I probably should have waited until the last hour of cooking as the glaze got really thick and sticky by the end of it, however the flavor and taste was still awesome! We just couldn't use any of the "juice" on the bottom of the roaster because it had baked semi-solid on us. I will try this again with a spiral cut ham!
