Super Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2005
This recipe was very easy but tasted just ok. I made some changes per other reviewers: I added an envelope of french onion soup mix instead of the raw onion, and I used cream of mushroom soup instead of the cream of chicken because that's what I had on hand. I worried it would be too salty so I added a little milk. It tasted mostly like onion soup mix but I have to say my three children ate it without complaint (which rarely happens)! I think I will try this again and stick to the original recipe.

Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2005
This recipe was too rich with all the cheese. I will try it again with about half the cheese. Otherwise this was just ok.

Apple Crisp II

Delicious! I followed other reviewers' suggestions and cut the sugar down to 3/4 cup and the water to 1/4 cup. However, I think it can do without the water. Thanks for the great recipe!

Cassie's Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2005
My daughter and I enjoyed this recipe...although it really is more of a cake than a brownie. My husband and other two daughters turned their noses up at this because it wasn't sweet enough for them. Next time I will take other reviewers' suggestions and add chocolate chips or frosting to sweeten it up, athough I prefer it as is.

I made this for a recent camping trip and everyone loved it! My kids don't like bbq sauce so I used Italian salad dressing instead for theirs. We also used pineapple and it was a big hit. Thanks for a great recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Noodles

Reviewed: May 24, 2005
My family loved this recipe! I did make some slight changes: it tasted bland after cooking the initial 6 hours so I added two chicken bouillon cubes while the noodles cooked. I've never used frozen noodles before and it didn't seem very appealing to me, so I put in a couple handfulls of dry bowtie pasta and cooked it on the stove for 11 minutes. Make sure you confirm your crockpot liner can go on the stove, otherwise you'll have to transfer the soup before boiling (which is what I did). My kids asked for seconds which rarely happens at dinner time.

This alfredo sauce is perfect for families...my kids liked it because of its mild flavor, and my husband and I spiced it up for ourselves. I added cooked ham and peas to make a great, quick dinner. Thanks for sharing this recipe, Jane!
