Coconut Chicken Stir Fry

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2014
Great taste from a simple recipes. I found the recipe to be very fogiving. I made my own coconut milk, use ground cumin instead of cumin seeds and doubled the spices because I'm a spicy chick :-). All the flavors meld well. I will difintely be making this again even though I'm not a big curry fan. Sweet and spicy perfection! I also served this over steamed coconut rice, YUMMY!!

Cinnamon Rolls III

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2013
I wanted to give these cinnamon rolls 2.5 stars to be more accurate but y'all know you can't give half stars. I followed the recipe and felt that the addition of the pudding was ok, but the bread flour just make these rolls entirely too dense for me. I'm a AP flour girl when it comes to cinnamon rolls. The flavor was ok saved by the icing. I will go back to my original recipe next time I feel like cinnamon rolls. Any how thanks for sharing.

Best Basic Sweet Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2013
Made these as rolls for dinner tonight. It was my first attempt at making any yeast rolls and they were pretty good. I'll make these again with a little personal tweaking.

Maria's Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2012
This quick and easy recipe isn't much different from my usual stir fry recipe. Of course I modified it to my tastes by adding ground ginger, red pepper flakes, black pepper, corn starch, red wine and omitting the red wine vinegar. I served it over white steamed rice.

Eggplant Croquettes

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2011
Tried these for the first time tonight. I cooked them exactly as instructed and they where pretty tasty. I hardly knew the eggplant was there. I will be making these again with a few variations for different tastes. Thanks for sharing a great recipe.

Made these last night and WOW they are yummy!! Next time I will cut the recipe in half since there are only three of us to feed. My batch made 20 cinnamon buns. I froze half and we are working on the rest. Thanks for sharing this easy bread machine recipe!

Linguine with Peppers and Sausage

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
Great basic recipe. I embellished a bit however. I used red, yellow, & green peppers, extra garlic (because I love garlic), italian seasoning, & crushed red peppers. Yummy!!

German Chocolate Cake Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2010
Love, love, love this simple recipe for coconut & pecan frosting for german chocolate cake. This is the same base recipe I use for making homade caramel frosting. *Note cook frosting for about 20 minutes to get it to thicken then let cool as previously stated.

Cream Cheese Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2010
Easy and delicious! Next time I will leave out the lemon juice, too tart for my taste. Also I had to bake the cake for 50 minutes before it was done. The cake was moist and light. I will make this again and again.

Of course this recipe is good; it is straight from the Quaker Oats Lid. I was looking for something different when I ran across this familar recipe.

Traditional Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2009
The family ate it but all thought that it lacked taste. This was an easy recipe, however it was bland. I would add chopped onion and garlic salt to punch up the flavor.

Shrimp Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2009
I love stir fry and I love shrimp so when I saw this recipe I got excited. To my dismay this recipe was very bland. My 12 y/o daughter didn't care for it either.

Chinese Chicken Fried Rice I

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
This was a good base recipe for fried rice. The sesame oil makes the recipe taste more authentic. I also found that using cold rice and a wok also improved the recipe. I added my own choice of veggies and my fiance loved it!
