Rump Roast Au Jus

Delicious! I used seasoned salt instead of the celery salt and added about 1/2 cup of wine to the crockpot. We sliced the meat and then put it on warm hogie rolls with some melted cheese. It was good and easy!

Slow Cooker Swiss Steak

Made this as the recipe states and even browned the meat and veggies before putting everything in the crock pot and I didn't like this at all. We found it quite bland and the sauce was way to sweet for our taste. Even after trying to spice it up with salt, pepper, sage, thyme, garlic and even some cayenne, it still didn't taste like something I'd be making again.

Slow Cooker Carnitas

Wow! This was amazing! I followed some of the other suggestions. I doubled the rub ingredients except for the cinnamon. I cut the roast into two chunks, rubbed it, poured the broth around it. Added half a sliced onion and some cilantro springs while it cooked. Flipped in halfway through. When it was done, I shredded it, and put it in the oven at 400 for 20 minutes. We served it with chopped onion, avocado, lime wedges, shredded cabbage, cheese and cilantro for toppings. I think I'll add a little chili powder to the rub next time though for a little kick. This is my husband's new favorite meal!!

Cheddar Baked Chicken

This was really good. I followed some of the changes listed like adding onion powder, using cooking spray instead of butter and cooking for 45 mins. I also added Adobo seasoning, used the spray "I Can't Belive It's Not Butter" on top of the chicken (just poured some on) and used Corn Flakes because that is what I had and it was great! I've already make it twice this week!

Mediterranean Puff Pastry Chicken

This was sooo good! And super easy to make. I don't like pesto, so I used sun dried tomatoes that come in the oil and chopped those up. The oil that was retained on the tomatoes made up for me not using pesto. I made one breast with half a sheet and one with a whole sheet. It was hard to get the half a sheet around everything, but it turned out better than the one with the whole sheet. There was too much pastry to chicken. I will definitely make it again!
