Banana-Nut Corn Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2007
This banana cornbread tasted pretty good, but it had a really thick crust.

Oatmeal Bread I

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2007
This bread was really good. The slow-rising in the refrigerator didn't work so well, so I took the bread dough out and it rose beautifully.

Homesteader Cornbread

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2007
I love this cornbread recipe. It's a little too sweet for my taste, so I always decrease the sugar. Otherwise it's perfect.

Low-Fat Corn Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2007
This muffin had a really strange texture, due to the applesauce I believe. It almost reminds me of fudge or something.

Heavenly Blueberry Smoothie

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2007
This smoothie tasted great. To make it healthier, I used nonfat plain yogurt and it was still plenty sweet.

The pumpkin taste didn't really come through.

Apple Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2007
This recipe has way too much apple. The apples made the muffins a little soggy, especially on the bottom.

Better Peanut Butter Sandwich

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2007
This tasted good, but I probably would not make it again. Applesauce is a little too watery to be spread on bread, and it overpowered the peanut butter.

Ignacio's Super Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2007
I actually didn't think this tasted TOO different from a regular PB&J. That said, this sandwich recipe is really good. A little time consuming, but I found it fun to make. The toasted slice does add nice texture.

Black and Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2007
I really loved this recipe. The muffins taste best warm. I made them healthier by substituting a cup of yogurt and a cup of milk for the half-and-half and I used whole wheat flour.

Hazelnut-Raisin Corn Bread

Reviewed: May 12, 2007
This was a pretty good recipe. It didn't really taste like a cornbread since it does not use any cornmeal, but the hazelnut and raisin combination was pretty interesting. I substituted yogurt for the butter and it came out fine. My mom really liked it, so I'm giving it five stars.

Wheat Crackers

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
This is a great, simple recipe. Like others said, the possibilities are endless. These yummy little crackers taste great with onion or garlic powder. I tried peanut butter, Nutella, and tahini too, but the flavors didn't really come out. The crackers taste best the day after. In fact, they taste just like the ones I got from the store when I was little.

Banana Muffins I

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2007
These muffins smell and taste wonderful. I used whole wheat flour in place of the all-purpose, used yogurt instead of sour cream, reduced the sugar to 3 tablespoons (although next time I will reduce it some more), and put in a pinch of nutmeg and some cinnamon. I also had to bake them for a little longer than the twenty minutes. Great recipe! Will definitely make this again. The texture was amazing.

Blue Cornmeal Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2007
This is so far my favorite pancake recipe. I usually cut the recipe down by one half, skip the butter, and use one egg. I would suggest that everyone who loves cornbread tries this. It's absolutely delicious and comes out perfectly fluffy everytime.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2006
These are without any doubt the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. And they stay soft too! I skipped the walnuts. The cookies taste great without them.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2006
I adore this recipe!! This tastes just like the pumpkin bread I buy from the bakery. I subsituted half a cup of unsweetened applesauce for half of the oil, and decreased the sugar to 2 cups and it is still wonderfully sweet. I put in three tsps of cinnamon and it tastes great! I bet this pumpkin bread would taste pretty good with chocolate chips in it.
