Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
A really yummy bread! I loved the chewiness of the brown rice in the bread.

Zwieback rolls are delicious, and I would definitely recommend that you try this recipe. I added some powdered peanut butter to it for fun.

Ultimate Maple Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
Wow this was a good cookie!!! I used 1/4 cup of maple syrup instead of 2 tbsps, and I used a mixture of white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg for the maple sugar mix since I didn't have any maple sugar. This cookie is so delicious!!! I'll definitely make it again.

Accordion Rye Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2008
It took me a while to remember what an accordion looks like and to understand how exactly to fold the dough, but once I did, making the bread rolls was just as fun as eating them! I made twenty-seven small rolls from this recipe. Next time I'll make larger ones. I used whole wheat flour in place of the all-purpose and decreased that by half a cup. Then I added a quarter cup of wheat gluten to help it rise better. And I substituted yogurt for the butter. I never liked rye bread all that much, but this recipe was really good.

Diana's Hawaiian Bread Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2008
These bread rolls were fantastic!! I used whole wheat flour and decreased the flour by a quarter cup. I made the dough by hand and it didn't get sticky at all.

Chocophiles

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
This is a delicious cookie! To make them healthier, I substituted yogurt for half of the butter and used whole wheat flour. I also only used bittersweet chocolate chips because those were the only kind I had. This is a really rich, really good cookie. I brought them to a party and everyone loved them.

Orange Pumpkin Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
This bread smells really good!!! I took off one star because I didn't really like having the orange in there. I was hoping the texture would be more bread-like. It's just a little too fudge-like for me.

Cottage Cheese Bread II

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
Great bread!!! The texture is definitely different, almost chewy. You can't really taste the cottage cheese, but its texture is there. To make it a little healthier, I used white whole wheat flour and added 1/4 cup of gluten. I also substituted yogurt for the oil. I'll definitely make this again, especially since there's still cottage cheese in the refrigerator!

Blueberry Lemon Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2007
Good, but too sweet. I didn't like the lemon/blueberry combo all that much.

Volcano Pancake

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2007
This was a really tasty "pancake." It didn't really rise much, but then again I omitted the butter completely. That might be why. To make it healthier, I substituted whole wheat flour, twelve egg whites instead of the whole eggs, and seltzer for the milk. I also used fat free cheddar cheese.

Peanut Butter Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2007
This was a nice, mild bread. It didn't have a strong pumpkin taste, or a strong peanut butter taste for that matter. Still I thought it was pretty tasty. I substituted yogurt for oil and decreased the sugar to 2 cups.

Ibby's Pumpkin Mushroom Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2007
This is an okay stuffing. I didn't really think the mushroom and pumpkin went all that well together, but this recipe is still worth a try. It's definitely interesting and different from the normal stuffing.

Autumn Muffins

These were really good. To make them healthier, I used a cup of yogurt instead of the butter, whole wheat flour, and 1/2 cup of honey instead of all of that sugar. And it was sweet enough!

I really liked this pie crust. The only change I made was I used four tablespoons of yogurt instead of three. Otherwise, great recipe!!

Mock Oatmeal

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2007
I tried this recipe because I had some leftover ricotta cheese, and because I was plain curious. I have to say, it does not taste like oatmeal, even after lots and lots of cinnamon. I'm giving it four stars anyway because it doesn't taste bad and I think it is worth trying. It is slightly chewy, and if you use nonfat ricotta cheese this can be pretty healthy. You get protein and quite a bit of calcium.

Apple Cider Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2007
These apple cider biscuits are really, really delicious, especially warm out of the oven! To make them healthier, I used whole wheat flour and yogurt instead of the butter. I also increased the cinnamon to one teaspoon. Will definitely make again.

Jo's Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
I made this bread for my mom's birthday and both of us loved it. It does taste like Macaroni Grille's bread, only a lot less greasy. I think I prefer this recipe to Macaroni Grille's bread. I used 2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour and added 4 tbsp wheat gluten. For the herbs, I added a tbsp of basil and oregano instead of the Italian blend.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2007
They do taste really good, but I'm giving it four stars because they are such a hassle to make. And it does create a mess.
