Figs and Toasted Almonds Brie

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2007
Delicious and a hit at the party. I could not get fresh figs, used 1/2 pkg of dried about 8-12, increased the water to 4T and the vanilla to 1t. Cooked the figs longer to soften. Next time I'll try soaking the figs overnight.

Fantastic, had been waiting for an event to make them and it was Girls Night Out - Fireside. Thank you for sharing your recipe. I partially baked the bacon before prepping them and also cut the peppers in half to make stuffing easier.

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2007
My machine gets a lot of use but I never used it to make the dough and then bake in the oven. My bread baking is limited to the machine only. This was fabulous. I'm Italian/American and grew up eating italian bread while many were eating Wonder. This is a keeper.

I increased the spices, added 2t vanilla and replaced the water with honey and used 1c brown sugar and 2c granulated. Outstanding with a bite. One batch made 1 loaf and 3 mini loaves for gift giving. Spraying the pans works well. Keep an eye on the time, 60 min for the reg loaf.

Apple Pike

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2012
Easy, quick and delicious. Thank you for sharing. This recipe does take at least 30 min to bake. I used brown sugar instead of the white sugar, added vanilla and cinnamon. I also swapped out some of the ap flour for wheat and oats. Love the fact that is has no fat and doesn't need it.

Cathy, thank you for sharing this recipe. I too like many others used the lemon juice and zest - delicious. Dusting the pan with confectioners sugar is genious, loved the taste and crunch. I used buttermilk powder, when I mixed it with water I used some sour cream, yum.

Great recipe for Superbowl Sunday. Made it days in advance, froze, defrosted, heated in microwave, let sit in the crockpot to stay hot so I could watch the game too.
