Pistachio Nut Cake II

Reminds me of the cake my mother used to make me! Very delicate crumb; I baked it in two 8" layers and it was tricky keeping the layers together. I'm sure as a bundt cake it's perfect! Will make it again.

Buttermilk Cookies

I substituted 1/2 c. brown sugar for white, and these cookies baked up just as all the others reported. Frosted them with confectioners sugar frosting with lots of lemon to add zip!

Cookie dough was so simple! Very good tasting. They are fragile, so look out when dipping. I did add 1/2 tsp.salt, otherwise it was unchanged.

Key Lime Pie VII

This is the best key lime pie I ever tasted! I followed the recipe exactly other than using a pre-baked pie crust instead of graham cracker. Thanks for sharing. This is a keeper!

Chocolate Frosting III

I read the other reviews so I reduced the butter by 3 tblns and used only 3 tbln of milk. I beat the out of it with my kitchenaid mixer but couldn't get it to fluff up enough to spread. So--I rolled it out like a fondant and draped it over the cake. It was delicious! I'll probably not be able to reproduce it again, but it ended up fudgy and good tasting.

Best Moist Chocolate Cake

Easy and delicious! Don't overbake though. I baked mine in 2 -8 inch round cake pans for approximately 35 minutes. Fabulous! It tasted like devil dog cake to me. (without the unnatural additives)

Poblano Chile Enchiladas a la Gringa

I browned the chicken, sauted the onion and garlic, used flour tortillas instead of corn. Oh yeah, monterey jack cheese instead of mozzarella. Heated it in oven 359 degees for 20 minutes. Tasted good--really liked the sauce. Flour tortilla got a little mushey.
