Luscious Slush Punch

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
I made this for my daughters birthday party. It was a big hit. I may add a little more sugar next time, since our punch is usually pretty sweet. It was nice however not to get a sugar rush after just one small glass.

Danish Pastry

Reviewed: May 20, 2006
Okay, so I begin by saying I am a novice baker, so don't hold it against the recipe. I didn't like the taste (too much almond) and it was dry. I spent a lot of time on this and was disappointed. I had to scramble to make another dish at the last minute. Not my favorite

Bacon and Tomato Cups

Reviewed: May 13, 2006
Wonderful. I made them with cheddar cheese and green onions. I also went easy on the mayo as suggested. They are such a great blend of flavors and you can whip them up so quickly! I can't wait to make these for a party.

Easy Cream Cheese Danish

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2006
These were good, and everyone that tried them loved the taste. I was a little disapponted because it tasted a bit too much like a crescent roll instead of a danish. I brushed them with egg and sugar to sweeten them up, but still not like I had hoped. I am planning on trying the Danish pastry dough on this website next. I would rather eat the store bought than these, but still good.

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2006
This was wonderful!! I made it in individual bundt cakes. I baked at 325 for 20 min. and they were perfect. I used milk chocolate chips (the regular size), and I didn't use the liqueur. I was practicing to make these for a baby shower, so I decided to skip the alcohol. They turned out wonderful and moist. The longer they sit the better they get. If you eat them within an hour of coming out of the oven, the choc. chips are still melted!! It was a little like a molten choc. cake.

Southern Living Magazine's Chicken-Fried Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2006
I was so happy to find this recipe in Southern Living!! It is really wonderful. My picky husband really liked it. Don't skimp on the battering. Cram as much of the crumbs and flour into the steak as possible. It really gives it the wonderful flavor. I have a hard time getting the gravy to thicken. Don't be afraid to crank up the heat. It will get done faster. The saltine crackers are brilliant.

So good! Even better as left overs! I always run out of sauce. Maybe I will double it next time.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2006
I suggest using freshly grated cheese. It made my 2nd batch of sauce smoother than the first (I used the grated from the jar).

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2005
This was so good!! My husband is very picky, but he really likes this. I tried the ricotta cheese, but you just cant beat the taste of sour cream!! Some times I do 1/2 sour cream and 1/2 ricotta. Thanks for the recipe.

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2005
The taste of the recipe was unbelievable!!! My husband and I loved the first few bites. Then we just couldn't handle the texture. I spent over 45 min. trying to melt the parmesan. I read all the other reviews and added it slowly, but the lumps wouldn't go away. They got even worse as the sauce cooled and was mixed with noodles. I was really disappointed. This was so much work and expensive ingred. I will be trying another recipe next time.

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2002
I loved these cookies!! My only suggestion would be that if you might want to use milk chocolate chips rather than semi-sweet.

Cream Cheese Mints

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2002
This is the best recipe. Every where I take these mints atleast 5 people as me for the recipe. If you add a little bit if vanilla (1/8 tsp) it will cut the mint a little bit.
