I thought this was great - I made it exactly as described and it turned out very well!

Curry Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2007
This was pretty tasty - but I did play with it a good bit. I added salt and curry to taste, and also some cilantro. I didn't use mushrooms, instead I used peas, spinach, and squash. Also, I didn't have any crunchy peanut butter, so I used tahini instead, and added some brown sugar. Something else I thought while making this - most indian food would not use a beef product (bouillon cubes), right?

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2007
great banana bread recipe. Very moist. I added a 1/2 tsp. or vanilla extract. My loaf had to cook for a little longer than 65 minutes.

Spinach Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2008
Very good! Hearty! I added some cumin, celery, and more broth to water as some other reviewers suggested. My wife is a vegetarian, so I used "better than chicken" brand broth, and didn't cook the kielbasa in the stew, but added it to mine after. Really tasty!

Carrot Thyme Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
Bread came out really dense - don't know what happened. The taste was pretty savory, but I didn't care for this flavor all that much.

Sour Cream Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
We made this recipe to use up some biscuit mix we had in our pantry. Like just about everything made with biscuit mix, these muffins had that kindof doughy-dry taste. But, hey - blueberries and sugar, how can it taste bad? Biscuit mix is no substitute for your own batter though. Unless you are in a real pinch or trying to use up the last bit of Bisquick in your pantry, stick with a real muffin recipe - it's really not that much harder to mix your own.

Rhubarb Sour Cream Pie

Reviewed: May 26, 2007
This is a great recipe! The pie is really delicious! We were a little short on ingredients, so we used a half cup of fat-free sour cream and a half cup of fat-free vanilla yogurt in place of the one cup sour cream. We used only half the sugar because the yogurt was a little sweet on its own. Because we like really full pies, we also added some strawberries in addition to the rhubarb. We made a second pie without the crumb topping and it was awesome too!

Carrot Cashew Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2007
I made two versions of this quiche recently - one as published, and one with tweaking. After reading the reviews, I wanted to try a version that was a little more savory, so I cut the honey in half, and added a teaspoon of curry powder. Unfortunatley, neither of the versions turned out to be very tasty. I think the base recipe (without my tweaking) was the better quiche. If I were to make it again I would probably add a little more salt.
