About this Cook
I am a professional musician, loving wife and enthusiastic home cook. Food and Muse features my culinary efforts, restaurant reviews, recipes and a few random goodies. I do not claim to be a chef; I just love cooking dishes that in my humble opinion, look and taste fantastic!
My favorite things to cook
I love making desserts, curries, chili, pasta/italian, southern style breakfast, Meats, Asian, Mexican, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and I love trying out new challenging recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Dad's "Heart Attack Fries" are some of the most delicious fries I have ever tasted, but they are really bad for you!
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving Dinner is always a triumph for me every time I cook it. I also love making challenging desserts. Anything I cook for the first time and having it turn out PERFECT is always a triumph in my eyes!

Chicken Cordon Bleu I
Great recipe. I used vanilla almond cereal crushed up instead of bread crumbs and it turned out AMAZING. I also used a maple ham that added to the flavor of this dish. I served it in a mornay sauce since I hate mushrooms. Magnificent! Will make this one again!

Tandoori Chicken II
Very good, but I used the yogurt and a spritz of lemon juice *also omitted the ginger* and let mine marinade for 5 hours before baking in the oven at 350. Amazing with Jasmine Rice and a delicious Spicy Orange Peanut Sauce!
