I made this for a friend's birthday and it was a big hit! Yes, the cake is eggy and dense, but once you let it soak in the three milks and then top it with the sweetened whipped cream, the result is heavenly! It is a nice departure from a traditional cake with a traditional icing.
I added a little bit of rum extract to the cake batter and the whipped cream, along with the vanilla, for some added depth of flavor.
I definitely recommend this recipe and will be making it again!
