Tender Italian Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2011
My family loved this...plates were licked clean. Used boneless, skinless thighs because it's what I had on hand and they were like butter. Yum, yum, yum.

Awesome...my family loves these. I don't bother with bag...just toss all together on the cookie sheet and it works great.

Mama's Asian Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: May 11, 2011
Really good. When family says "what do you mean there was no more," I know it's a winner. Love the bright flavor from the orange. I used pre-seasoned oriental chicken breasts that I had in the freezer. Worked out perfectly.

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
Awesome just the way the recipie reads. My family loved them...barely last a day in my house with two teen boys. They are encouraging the bananas on the counter to brown more quickly so I can make them again. Only thing I did was substitute regular ingredients for the fancy organics and it worked perfectly.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
Great! I made the filling part early one afternoon and was planing to do the crust a little later but stuck with work and kids and blah, blah, blah, dinner came and I had no crust so I popped a can of refrigerated biscuits in the oven, reheated filling and served over the top of biscuits....everyone loved it. Leftovers didn't make it to the next day. It was great and next time I'll make sure I get my stuff together to do with the crust as intended but a great shortcut.

Italian Sausage Soup

AWESOME! My spouse loved and could only ask "Why haven't you made this before?" Served with some pasta cooked seperately and scooped over top to make a little more hearty. Fantastic leftover as well. Will make again...

Easiest Focaccia Recipe

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
Fantastic base recipie... I added olive oil to the dough as well. Doubled recipie with no problem then baked as one big piece, after topping like my favorite focaccia...pushing holes in the top, sprinkling with sea salt, rosemary and parm cheese. So good... so, so good. Family loved it. Thank you for a good basic recipie that I'll keep around...

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

This was good...surprised at the nice gravy that was in the pot when I opened the lid. Kids were licking their lips at the smells in the kitchen. Very good.

Apple Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2010
This was solidly ok. It really need some cinnamon and nutmeg...or maybe I needed different apples, but kinda tastless overall. Of course, when served warm wtih vanilla ice cream, no one complained about the flat flavor of the cake.

Bacon Risotto

Reviewed: May 21, 2010
My family loved this more than I did, perhaps because they are all bacon nuts. This was easy to prepare, the recipe was right on and it tasted as I imagined it would...very, very bacony. If you love bacon, this is for you. If I'm making it again, I'll do like 2/3 the bacon (my family will cry) to still get a little flavor but have it be more about the Risotto I love so much.

Loved these...smelled so good when baking. My family is already asking for more! With the one leftover muffin, I split in half the next morning, pan fried it in a little butter and put a poached egg on top for a VERY tasty breakfast.

Fresh Strawberry Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: May 12, 2010
While i was really excited to try this and it didn't taste bad, it didn't look appitizing when flipped out of the pan. I covered it with some whipped cream and my kids gobbled it down but when they ask What's that and wrinkle their noses because of how it looks, it kinda takes the wind out of my sails when I went out of the way to make a special desert on a weeknight. Plan to cover it up when you flip it if you want people to be excited about it... whipped cream worked great here.

Flatlander Chili

This was easy, just as promised and a huge hit in my house. I made it two weekends in a row becasue kids were eating after sports practices (like instead of junk) and I thought wow, what a great change to choose to eat something in which sugar isn't the first ingredient! Great job...made as is!

Sweet and Crunchy Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2009
My family loved this...had to write out the recipe three times before everyone left. I only soaked the noodles about 5 minutes as every said and they soaked up the dressing so it wasn't too wet or soggy and added the snow peas as others did. It was great!
