Arrabbiata Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2010
This is the sauce I have been looking for! Delicious, spicy, and so simple to prepare. Family prefers this to all the other sauces I have tried over the years. The only substitution I make is using a tsp. of dried basil instead of fresh.

This is the Best Salsa ever! Fresh tasting and just the right aount of heat for kids. Like other reviewers I added juice from 1/2 lime and kept the rest of the recipe as written.

Rhubarb Cake II

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
For those who have never really cared for rhubarb like myself, this recipe will change your mind. We were served this at a relatives cottage with fresh rhubarb. I politely declined a piece and only had a bite of my husband's after all the raves about it. Ended up having my own piece and got the recipe as well. A bit of Summer indulgence!

Raspberry Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
I have been baking for 33 years and on numerous occassions have sold my baking at Christmas and other special events. I have NEVER heard of adding water to a fruit pie, but I thought I should follow the recipe as others rated it very high. Made this last night with fresh raspberries and it turned out to be a soupy mess! Husband and the kids ate it but I couldn't. Don't know if I'll make again or not.

Cauliflower and Broccoli Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2007
This cheese sauce mixes up much better in the microwave than on the stove and be sure to use old cheddar for maximum flavour. Amount of milk you add determines how thin or thick your sauce is and skim mixes just as well as cream or homo milk. Melt the butter then wisk in the flour and add milk. Cook on high for about 3-4 minutes, stirring every minute. Add the cheese and heat again for 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts into the white sauce. No lumps!!

Baked Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2007
This recipe is awesome. So simple to prepare and tastes delicious. I was very brave and made this recipe and brought to a pot luck at work without trying it out first. Well it was a hit. It all went and afterwards I caught people online looking for the recipe. Prepared it with all old cheddar cheese and did not add salt and pepper, as I thought the bacon would add enough salt and it did. You won't be disappointed. After making this several times I find that shredding all the cheese instead of cubing some makes a better recipe.

Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2007
Family did not care for this at all. The taste of cinnamon was too strong and contributed to a weird flavor.
