Awesome Honey Pecan Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2009
These were awesome! This is the easiest thing I've ever made that doesn't have a bunch of processed in it. I used thin-cut pork chops, so I didn't have to pound them. I threw some sweet potato spears in the oven with a little oil and dinner was ready in 20 minutes! 5 stars! This is something we will have regularly from now on!

Honeyed Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
Good, but better with skinless chicken. If the sauce is just on the skin it doesn't really flavor the chicken itself. When I have bone-in chicken with skin, I just peel back the skin and flop it over to the side and put the sauce on top of the chicken. That way the fat from the skin melts and keeps the chicken moist, and there is more liquid for basting.

Lamb for Lovers

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
Very nice. It did take more like 15 minutes to cook the lamb, and it I simmered the demi-glace after adding the jelly for a long time, but it never thickened. After I gave up and decided to use it thin, it thickened as it cooled down a little. I was worried I wouldn't like it because I wasn't really loving the smells as I was cooking it, but by the time it was all done and I tried it, it was delicious. Half a recipe was perfect for two people.

Chocolate Covered Cherries

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
Overall, very good. There was too much fondant, but half wasn't quite enough. Be very careful to dry the cherries well. If they stay a little wet, the fondant won't really stick, and the chocolate really won't stick. I'd leave the shortening out of the chocolate. I had trouble with the chocolate just not sticking to the fondant-covered cherries. If there is a hole in your chocolate coating, the fondant will leak out once it liquefies.

Ginger Pear Crisp

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
It was kinda good, but really pretty bland. It would probably be good with apples, or fresh pears. One good thing about this recipe, though, is it was good left-over, and cold.

Tiramisu II

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2007
wow! I made this for my birthday cake. it came out perfect! What amazed me the most was that it was so easy! (of course I didn't tell my guests. We'll keep that just between us cooks.) The other thing that impressed me was how beautifully it cut! even the first peice had nicely layered sides. I doubled the espresso-rum mixture and spread it on with a pastry brush. I also whisked the egg mixture the whole time it was cooking. Definitely a good recipe!

Kindness Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2007
Is this recipe supposed to have FLOUR? It didn't work at all. It turned out little piles of oats sitting on puddles of honey-egg stuff. Not edible.
